I admire Gilly so much it makes me emotional thinking about his journey with DC. My man single handedly got us the tournament when he already retired from the national side. He was 37!!!..In a way, he seems like Nani in Jersey to me🥲. To see him play with such fitness at the fag end of his career. His captaincy too is not talked about much. The way he supported RP Singh and signaled him every ball from behind the wickets to swing the ball 🥲.. To top it all, he still admires our city .. fucking hell.
Want to see him as a Team Mentor for SRH next season
Before Warner. Gilchrist is the one who picked up DC from the mud and made them champions in 2009 IPL. He also won the Player of the tournament.
Honestly, more than having faith in the team. He just supported the team, and that speaks volumes on the impact the fans, the city, and the team had on him. He’s a lifelong fan ❤️
