So that’s James bisgrove left the club. I wonder if it’s the start of a takeover. A few mates have said that Jim Mcoll is reading a consortium to take over.

 1

30 May 2024 17:41:24
Heard these rumblings too Robbie. We need fresh investment and a new vision that helps us gain success on the pitch. McColl certainly has the funds available so fingers crossed 👍🏻.

 2

30 May 2024 17:53:00
I’m not sure mccoll will get involved, the initials Berkshire mentioned have merit along with one other an and Stuart Gibson.

 2

30 May 2024 17:53:16
I think it was more he got offered a bit of cash and took it simples.

 3

30 May 2024 18:00:05
55 in his time at rangers he has been close to some high profile positions, many thought he was going to get head of Australia cricket

I don’t think anyone can turn down the Saudi money.

I’m not convinced we need a CEO if Bennett is going full time in August.

 3

30 May 2024 18:10:35
John was bisgrove a good ceo? He over saw the mb fiasco but what else did he achieve. Honest question iv no idea.

 2

30 May 2024 18:43:53
Commercial wise brought a lot of money into the club.

 0

30 May 2024 18:50:28
Yip john they can offer more than us fair play to him wish him well.

 0

30 May 2024 19:13:49
How did he oversee the Michael Beale fiasco? Robertson hired him and Bisgrove fired him. Bisgrove appointments where Clement and Koppen.

 0

30 May 2024 19:18:41
Robbie, was it yourself who had said bisgrove was on his way out la couple weeks ago or was that someone else?
If you good info mate

who were the initials Berkshire had mentioned sorry missed that post?

Seems a lot could happen this summer.

 0

30 May 2024 17:06:36
Bisgrove away to Saudi confirmed by the club, someone posted he was away on here a few weeks ago I'm sure?

 6

30 May 2024 17:36:20
Best Wishes to James in his new venture, we were fortunate to have such a gifted business mind, well ahead of his years considering his age, worked tirelessly to bring the club many quality deals and sponsorships, even during covid which must have taken a lot of determination.

Wonder who is coming in or is there another reshuffle going to happen with the board?

 5

30 May 2024 17:48:11
Yes been on here, rumours last two weeks quite strong,

Laudrup hagi board is short of bodies, mb Gibson will come onto board.

Also newly promoted team, I can recommend couple player for Bisgrove.

 4

30 May 2024 17:58:18
Yes, someone posted this rumour last week.

 1

30 May 2024 18:00:54
RFC555 I posted 2 weeks ago but must confess that as time went on I was beginning to doubt my source.

 2

30 May 2024 18:03:20
It’s a reminder how good this site is with rumours. Due to what we heard here it isn’t as big a shock as the press are making out. Best of luck to the guy and hopefully people don’t try to read too much into him leaving as being based on problems at Ibrox and accept it’s down to the big money he’s been offered.

30 May 2024 18:08:09
Excellent ally. It was getting discussed in corporate on Saturday but I honestly thought someone had read your post.

Couple said he was going to Chelsea, not Saudi.

 0

30 May 2024 18:13:56
Laudrup his job was to work tirelessly and bring in money through commercial deals, and he was paid handsomely. Was he not in charge of the game in Australia? The club had to fork out for compensation.

 2

30 May 2024 18:18:52
The name I've heard replacing him is the brother of our current chairman.

Best in class though.

 0

30 May 2024 18:59:06
Well done Allyg. Booyakasha, as they say.

 0

30 May 2024 19:14:46
Onewalter that wasn’t his fault in oz that was the fans fault we lost money on it and have to play games against Man U etc… to pay it back.

 0

30 May 2024 16:59:08
4 Lads reporting Bisgtove is offski. Official announcement imminent from the club.

 0

30 May 2024 17:31:56
Was he a good CEO? Iv no idea what he did although marketing he did a great job.

 2

30 May 2024 18:10:10
CEO imo he had not demonstrated if he was any good, question asked by people I know was what does he actually do

In terms of marketing, he took us to a totally different level.

 0

30 May 2024 18:30:53
Agree on marketing John.

 0

30 May 2024 18:13:36
John, I've never seen so many marketing decisions get such a visceral reaction from supporters as his tenure endured.

 0

30 May 2024 19:10:24
Tjs, yet he made us tens of millions.

 0

30 May 2024 16:14:55
First time poster, but have it on good authority that we have enquired about Adnan Januzaj. Apparently there were talks about a loan in January, but couldn't get it over the line before the deadline. Not sure if this is a loan or permanent. Take it or leave it, but from a pretty reliable source.

 2

30 May 2024 16:48:17
Was an OK player 5 years ago but heard nothing about him for years.

 1

30 May 2024 16:49:28
Played 10 matches in league since 2022.

 0

30 May 2024 16:54:11
Walking sick note.

 0

30 May 2024 13:49:53
See Graeme Bailey has linked Kalvin Phillips to us? Anyone heard anything about it at all. can't see it happening to be honest.

 1

30 May 2024 15:05:57
Good player but no way we could afford even half his wage.

 3

30 May 2024 15:12:33
was thinking the same mate, just thought i’d post it since i seen the rumour incase anyone else missed it.

 0

30 May 2024 15:27:28
Shows how out of touch these people are, how could we afford Philips, even if he was interested.

 1

30 May 2024 15:39:43
Ger88 according to the jurnos story Man City are willing to cover his wages.

G4 ✉ 8 💬 164
 1

30 May 2024 15:46:44
Now that would be a signing. Highly unlikely simply because of the money he would be on would be way out of our pay structure. If city would be paying vast majority what a deal that would be.

 2

30 May 2024 15:59:11
It would be a loan with heavily subsidised wages, Celtic also registered an interest apparently. He’ll end up at Leeds with a buy option with promotion.

 0

30 May 2024 15:59:48
Last thing we need IMO - stability is what is required with players who WANT to play for us for a good period of time and not use us as stepping stone or shop window!

 1

30 May 2024 16:39:50
Blue- floyd we get him anywhere near his best guy would be a Rolls Royce of a signing. I wouldn't write those types of players off as they will want the best move possible and will perform.

 0

30 May 2024 16:40:59
Guy hasn’t kicked a ball for 18 months he was horrendous at West Ham quite possible the worst ever loan signing in the history of Football! He gave the ball away a few times leading to goals, conceded a penalty and got sent off. I wouldn’t want us to be involved with him tbh unless we had to pay no wages and he vastly improved with a strong pre season and drop in quality playing in our league.

 2

30 May 2024 16:59:11
There are lower EPL teams interested in him and genuine interest across the City which would see him guaranteed to be playing in the new Champions League and also in the Shop Window, which I assume is why most of his wages are being paid!

 0

30 May 2024 17:08:07
Coully can't see leeds buying him there due out 170 mill in transfer payments.

 0

30 May 2024 17:20:25
Surely we would take Phillips if offer is there? Be insane not to.

 1

30 May 2024 17:28:48
Injury prone.

 1

30 May 2024 17:37:28
Well out of our price range, over valued and over rated anyway.

 3

30 May 2024 17:46:57
Kalvin Phillips is a good player and will be playing in the premier league next season, not a chance he comes to Scotland.

 0

30 May 2024 17:57:50
That’s why I said it would be option on promotion his value has plummeted massively aswell.

 0

30 May 2024 18:29:41
Mail in Phillips is meant to be going to Barcelona.

 0

30 May 2024 18:42:38
Philips was a mile off the pace at West Ham and was dropped rather quickly, made millions with Man City and does not look to have the hunger to carry on, would take a young promising player over him every day of the week.

 0

30 May 2024 10:46:55
Was told this morning that Yilmaz will be away should a suitable offer come in this window. The guy I was speaking to I've never had any info from before so not sure how accurate.

 4

30 May 2024 11:17:08
I like Yilmaz but he's injury prone. If good money came in I'd sell.

 7

30 May 2024 11:21:45
Same as any player, if it meets the boards valuation.

Can see a big clear out this window, it's necessary after this season, time for the old guard to go ply there trade elsewhere, and generate some new funds / wages for Koppens / Clements / Van der Heydens Rangers rebuild.

 2

30 May 2024 11:37:34
Makes sense if we are getting that other lb from south America.

 2

30 May 2024 11:57:02
Looks that way Bellshill with Jefte coming in and interest in Galdames.

 0

30 May 2024 12:40:36
Read Galdames prefers CB s might not make a difference to Yilmaz but if we get a good fee I'd take it. Looked out the door in Jan but be happy either way.

 2

30 May 2024 12:57:22
I would keep yilmaz, a lot of these players like Jefté are potential players they currently are not good enough to start.

 1

30 May 2024 14:22:48
Yilmaz can generate a decent fee and I can see him going to Italy rather than back to Istanbul.

 1

30 May 2024 14:38:47
Yilmaz asked to leave in January.
100% his decision.

 1

30 May 2024 15:28:57
Berkshire, who was the Gentleman from the west of Scotland that you had heard was investing in Rangers. Apologies if you named him I missed the post.

 0

30 May 2024 16:26:48
Is that not the same for all players.
If a "suitable" offer comes in then they would be sold. hardly a rumour or news.

 0

30 May 2024 16:55:11
Their will be a few clubs waiting to sign Yilmaz, his injuries the only reason we won’t mind him leaving at right price, would def try and get a sell on with him as a year playing constant in Italy or Germany and he will end up at the top club in those leagues.

 1

30 May 2024 17:11:29
Hi Carluke, neither John or myself have mentioned any names however I did post the initials of one 'rumoured' prospective investor, BW.

 0

30 May 2024 17:25:28
Carluke, also, I've just posted but not sure how quickly it will go through Admin., that James Bisgrove has formally resigned and is going to Saudi Arabia to Al Qadsiah. Bennett will run the Club as Executive Chairman.

 0

30 May 2024 17:52:07
Thanks mate just saw this. The only name I have heard is Jim McColl but that’s just talk between our group. Can you give anything further than BW 😂.

 0

30 May 2024 18:16:16
What do they
Club consuder as good money for yilmaz. 4/ 5m.

 0

30 May 2024 19:10:20
Hi Carluke, just one of a number of rumours circulating but you might want to check which Whisky Companies have been sold over the past couple of years. Rumours also mentioned South African Investment interest which would also link with the rumour.

Individual net worth of BW is £100m+, (but I haven't heard anything more for the past couple of weeks). I'm in Scotland next week on Family Business and might find out more, or just more rumours!

30 May 2024 08:59:24
My kid goes to kindergarten with a couple of Rangers players kids, I've struck up a bit of a 2.30 relationship with a certain player, I showed him Jimmy bells KitRoom and this page, he was properly intrigued and amused by some of the historic posts, he also pretty much confirmed without confirming that Tavernier is going, interestingly he was very coy on himself going too. He absolutely didn't confirm anything oraly but Tavernier is going.

 6

30 May 2024 10:04:11
How is Conor?

 6

30 May 2024 10:15:38
Aye they would tell you that chatting at the school gates.

 4

30 May 2024 10:19:43
This is a good old school rumour.

 3

30 May 2024 10:42:40
I literally said he didn't tell me ANYTHING. I've been speaking to him almost every day since August last year, I asked him how it works with schooling when a player leaves, he said they tend to hang on at the school as long as possible if they've family in the area but if it's the case they leave then they leave.

That brought on the subject of players leaving which I mentioned Tav to which his response was he's been at the club 20 years people come and go. Now that's not saying anything but it's saying everything. Also the school is in residential Bearsden.

 2

30 May 2024 10:45:24
"Get to the chopper! "

 5

30 May 2024 11:15:38
20 years surely a typo mate?

G4 ✉ 8 💬 164
 3

30 May 2024 11:30:46
Yeah think Tav will be going on all accounts

would be want Butland to be captain? If he was to stay

For me I’d rather an outfield player as captain someone who has a bit of steel about them not afraid to pull players up etc

Not sure If anyone at the club right now fits that even sterling.

 2

30 May 2024 11:38:29
The stig I think we need to go bring in an experienced winner and make them captain. We need a stronger character to lead our team.

 1

30 May 2024 11:49:02
Haha, not a typo, over exaggeration on his part. Roofe has also already taken his kid out of school, not seen him in a week or so which is unusual as both usually pick up after the WAGS have dropped off.

So between the lines Tavernier, Connor and Roofe all going, I will ask about Butland today in a round about way but so far as he told me in January when the rumour was going around his words were no chance Jack is going he is loving life, this was in January so potentially means nothing due to what's transpired success wise.

 3

30 May 2024 11:55:34
The guy passing on info, read it form your own view, no need for the snide comments.

 6

30 May 2024 12:12:39
Can I ask why snide remarks are made, when someone gives info. Is this not what the page is made for?

 4

30 May 2024 12:27:47
Roofe's a free agent. so he was going anyway, more wages freed up for the new lads.

30 May 2024 12:30:15
Interesting reading about Galdames on a few sites now, regarding his time in Argentinian football. Whilst I agree there are a few cultural differences between Argentina and Govan, what appeals most is the fact he has played plenty of football in what is often a very hard and unforgiving environment.
For me this summer I believe PC is NOT going to sign anyone with injury history, as his press conferences all year have included an amount of ranting on the subject.
Agree that having a good solid (ideally Scottish qualified) core is very important, I feel E Europe, SAmerica and Africa offer great value with sell on potential (another clear manager focus) . I also don’t believe he would overlook any SPFL player simply because they are at a smaller club, but more the value likes of m’well, Aberdeen, Hearts etc. place on their players (as is their right), takes them out with our budget when considering we have many positions to fill.

 1

30 May 2024 12:31:13
Snide remarks would perhaps be warranted for a blatant whopper of a tale, I've literally just made the account to pass on first hand information containing information that would corroborate or at least give some credence to what I've said. I gain absolutely nothing and inversely lose nothing by passing on the info, Again, he didn't say he was leaving but his tone and lack of stone wall denial makes me think he'll be gone, for example I asked him about Shankland and his words were no chance. Asked him about a handball or something against the sheep and had the same smile and cheeky reaction as if to say Yeah absolutely a hand ball. It's a nod and a wink type conversation.

 2

30 May 2024 13:15:13
DPM112 if my comment came across as snide then I do apologise it was a genuine question.

Wonder why no chance on the shankland subject?

The manager or the club as a whole don’t fancy him?

Where does he think he will end up?

 0

30 May 2024 13:51:11
I don’t hear anything about rumours so like coming on this site to read them. It’s rumours guys are giving which I appreciate. Whether I believe them or not, I wouldn’t have a go at anyone for putting them up.

Good info DPM. I know the school you’re referring to as I’m also G61. Don’t let the few who try and noise up and point score out you off. As you say, you’ve nothing to gain/ lose and simply passing on information that a few others wish they could. Look forward to more posts.

 2

30 May 2024 14:28:16
DPM, I'm happy with your comments and can only hope that they come to pass. The time has come for most of the current squad to go, irrespective of what they have achieved in the past. It is time for a clear out which is arguably overdue.

 1

30 May 2024 15:03:59
Thestigno1 hear me out here a sec, Sterling for captain and here's why.

He will play in any position asked of him and give that 100%. This tells me that he is willing to do whatever it takes for the sake of the team. That's leadership.

He is a battler, strong in the tackle and physical, exactly what fans want to see and gets fans going when they see him putting himself about. This should inspire and motivate team mates. That's leadership.

He said in a recent interview that the team were playing, and I quote, "rubbish". He was straight to the point, he never tried to BS us with the party lines like 'we'll learn from this' etc. He told it as it is and that's leadership.

Everyone is always saying I wish we could clone Sterling. Well the best way to do that is to make him captain and let his qualities and mentality rub off on everyone round about him!

For me its a no brainer. Sterling for captain. Give me a proper argument as to why he should not be captain? And before anyone says he's too young or lacks experience then all I will say is Barry Ferguson. Both young, both similar experience. Both similar mentality as explained above. Again people have been saying 'I wish we had a Barry Ferguson in there', Well I think we do and that man is Sterling.

 2

30 May 2024 15:48:24
Berkshire, have you heard anything about Nathan Patterson coming back to us as part of a deal involving Butland going to Everton?

 0

30 May 2024 16:01:53
Blue river, good case made and well thought out

At present imo he needs to develop more and also prove histitness. Only started 11 games so far, I do know that’s not a reason for him not being a captain, let him develop

For me Butland at present is the obvious choice with Souttar as VC.

 1

30 May 2024 17:32:44
Agree John.

 0

30 May 2024 17:49:41
looking forward to seeing Sterling finally in his right position as RFB, obviously once Tav (and Goldson) seal there transfer to saudi league, should generate around 15 mill for both, they are both in the 30;s now and not long left on eithers contract. better to sell now, or watch more money walk out the club for free.

Would be fantastic if we can work out a deal where Butland go's to Everton and we get Patterson back, 2 biggest defensive mistakes we have made over recent seasons selling Patterson and Bassey, that is the quaility of player we need throughout the team if we really want to be a Champions league quality side, that can take Celtic apart at will, do the treble and hurt some good teams in the Champs League, some will say but the money, not having them in our defence has cost us a lot more than in lost games, lost cups, lost leagues, dud Cb's.

 0

30 May 2024 18:12:14
Not you G4. It was the "As if he'd say that at the school gates" Not necessarily snide, just doubting something that literally happened, it was his Mrs that picked up today so no further gossip until tomorrow perhaps, I'll ask about Butland.

In response to Shankland in January, he elaborated slightly by saying his uncle Roofe is rated higher than him and he only plays once per month, granted Roofe was standing beside him at the time so could have been jest but I think it could be that the club are looking younger, fitter whereas Shankland would be perhaps considered more of an old school chips and beers at the weekend type.

I personally think Shankland would have been the cog that won us the league this season but potentially the club don't rate him which is their perogative.

Hi Mark, not a lot coming out of Liverpool at present reference Everton. Only rumours that have been floating about relate to Investment, (or lack of it) . I will ask my oldest son, he generally has more info on Everton than me these days!
