“Many nice touches to reasonably priced and well made dishes. The wait staff was attentive, but not too. The scallops were the star. Not to quibble, but sauteed mushrooms are not roasted. The pork was a bit too done, but in all a satisfying meal.“
“This is the best restaurant in Asheville. The staff is beyond knowledgeable about the entire menu. Read that again. The staff is beyond knowledgeable about the ENTIRE menu. The food is always great. The servers are second to none. Ralph and Tony are engaged and a testament to a time gone by in regard to how owners interact and are among their patrons. Ralph has forgotten more about wines than most of us will ever know. I cannot stress enough how great this place is. Whenever someone comes to visit- I tell them to go to Avenue M.“
“Ryan J was our waiter on the afternoon of 2/21/24. He took very good care of us along with our two dogs outside. His attention to detail and pleasant attitude is why we keep coming back. The dogs had (burger that they split) my wife and I had the Norwegian halibut with lobster sauce and kale. This place is hands down the best restaurant in NC.“
“Five stars for what it is, a burger place. Our family of four went on an extremely busy Sunday. We were told the way it would be about 45 minutes it ended up being about 25. Our server was very attentive and friendly even though he was running like crazy. I've been here multiple times and the food is always delicious and hot, this time was no different!“
“Huli Sue’s BBQ was amazing. Stopped in for a quick lunch and was extremely satisfied. The food was great, the service was fantastic. Sam was our waiter and he did an outstanding job.Highly recommend the brisket, the fried Brussels sprouts, and the fresh poke nachos. The coleslaw was the best we’ve ever tried. Honestly don’t think you can go wrong with anything you order!Parking: Parking was quick and easy. Was able to find a spot in front of the restaurant strip.Kid-friendliness: Very cool place and spacious for kids. Kids meals were an extremely generous portion (for toddlers).Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp inside restaurant makes it very accessible“
“We had lunch on December 30,2023 ,the day it happened to be lightly snowing. We were walking with our dog,so we needed a dog friendly restaurant. It was about 45 minutes to an hour wait, but it turned out to be well worth it! The fried green tomatoes were very unique and tasty, and our meals were delicious. The porch area was cozy and equipped with large TVs to watch sporting events. The service was outstanding.“
“I could not say enough good things about the Corner Kitchen. We eloped on 03/23/23 after the wedding we ate at the Corner Kitchen with our family. The service was the BEST! The food was AMAZING! and all of the staff were very accomodating and made sure to make our day very special. I will definitly reccomend The Corner Kitchen to anyone!“
“Amazing tacos and great service on top of a fabulous atmosphere vibe in this place was just perfect and the food just made it that much better and not even to mention we were the last people for the kitchen to cook for. They were trying to close down and everything but yet they still made our food fabulous, and all the way up to par, I would definitely go again and I would certainly recommend for anyone to check this place out. It was totally worth it.Vegetarian options: Sounded good“
“This place was great! We had a very fancy dinner on our weekend trip and they served us so little food we were still hungry after. We stopped here on a whim and shared the cuban cowboy sandwich. On the recommendation of our server, we had the pasta salad. Both were delicious! The brisket and pork were so juicy. The service was quick and helpful. The place had a cool vibe and we very much enjoyed our experience. We would definitely come back.“
“This place has some great occasional small plates that I’ve loved. They have great truffle fries…. Haven’t gotten a small plate in long time and finally saw one that sounded good, the stuffed artichoke but underwhelmed on all fronts. The two tiny artichokes just basically seemed like a breaded hard artichoke with a very little drizzle of goat cheese and all the sauces seemed weird and the price of $21 for 2 artichokes seemed way overpriced.“
“Came here with a group of 8 on a Saturday night and they were able to find all of us seats, not together but close by! It would be perfect for a cozy, romantic date night. Its got a really cool apothecary vibe and a great selection of cocktails. The coconut tequila cocktail was FANTASTIC. I also saw they did brunch, which I would totally go back for.“
“Jargon is quickly becoming my favorite restaurant in Asheville. Love the low key charm & the changing local menu. Staff seemed happy and the vibe was relaxed. Great place to go if you want a romantic dinner without enduring the tourist chaos of downtown.“
“OMG!! Hands down this place was soooo good. I ate last night after a concert at The Orange Peel. Got there at about 11:45pm and was not disappointed at all. The food was fantastic! I had the BBQ sliders and shared the piled high fries and pimento cheese dish with my husband. I would recommend to anyone out late looking for good food late. Next time I come back I will be back for more. Our service was great as well.“
“We’ve been dining Asheville for most of our lives and Table is consistently our favorite. The food is inspired, fresh, and seasonal. And it’s just damn good. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate, and the service is unbeatable. 10/10 we love Table!“
“Our waiter was Cory and Lee was his assistant. The service was exceptional. The views were amazing. My husband had the pork chop and I had the filet. We had crab cake and scallops for appetizers. The vanilla honey creme brulee was wonderful. Everything was perfect. Will dine here again.“
“This place is just like coming home to Granny's. Comfort food at its comfiest. The waitresses are kind and accommodating. The tables and floor are clean, and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. I wish I could go every morning to start my day.“
“At first we were disappointed to not get our favorite table by the window even though we requested it months earlier; but we got seated at another table we liked and from that moment on, the evening—our anniversary—was perfect. They accommodated my allergy with grace. The food was delicious from start to finish. There were several extra little flourishes to help us celebrate our anniversary and we loved our server Katana. She was terrific! Posana is one of our very favorites in Asheville.“
“This place was awesome. Inside was nice and warm like a greenhouse layout. I love that you order at the front and wait for your food to come out instead of having to be waited on, it’s so much faster. Best chai latte I’ve ever had in my life. Prices were totally fair. Definitely coming back on my next trip to Ashville.“
“My husband and I were first timers at this restaurant and we were very impressed. Our server Meredith went above and beyond and even gave us a list of local places to try while on our visit in Asheville. She was very sweet and on point with her service. The food was delish as well! We'll be back on our next visit.“
“Is there a dive breakfast term? The vibe is I am going to cook in my garage for everyone! Efficiency is a huge factor here. Talented, thoughtful staff. Organized biscuit bar. Coffee choices. Local feel to this unusually located spot. I cannot wait to come back.“
“The seating is a bit crowded but you can understand that when you taste the food. It is great. There was a 20 minute wait on a Monday morning. I had the Crab Benedict and it was delicious. Service was excellent and fast. There were people with children but I would not have taken my children. I didn't think there were child type items on the menu. This is a more upscale cuisine.“
“We had the very BEST experience with not only the food being delicious, but the staff was exceptional. Very kind, patient and thoughtful! We visited with our kids and they gave us coloring books for the kids, endless coffee and the darling cook made a heart shaped pancake for my son. Will def recommend and be back many times!“
“We found this little gem by chance and were not disappointed. Great atmosphere, kid friendly (albeit its an adult place). We sat at a small corner table by the bar. We enjoyed some sharable plates, great wines, mocktails for the kids, excellent wines and my wife a great Vesper made by Luci (the bartender). But the cherry on top was the fact that she made a perfect Irish Coffee - a simple drink, but buttered by 99% of the bar tenders. We will be back.“
“We always have a wonderful meal at Little D's. The staff is always professional and so personable. I like that they change their menu regularly. My only negative and it's not their fault is that as a local, I don't always make dinner reservations a week or two ahead of time and Little D's is so good that they are always booked up if you're trying for a reservation with only a two or three day lead.“
“My daughter and I went to the Hungry Bear for the first time this morning. The food was generous and fabulous! Prices are very reasonable ; And our waitress was fast and attentive. We decided this is our new favorite breakfast place. We'll be back soon.Parking: Good parking on the lot.“
“Wonderful experience. The chef is creative and each dish is very obviously prepared with love. Especially enjoyed the root vegetable salad, the country terrine and the venison. One observation: brioche toast is too precious for the terrine. There’s no harm in serving a more robust bread, even if it affects the appearance a little. Pâté should be “smeared”….which you cannot do with airy brioche toast. Otherwise an outstanding meal. Bravo!“
“I am so glad we stopped in here. The veggie-burger was the best I have ever had. They had a small, but great local beer selection. And the staff were super friendly. Thanks for the tooth-pick, broshot!Vegetarian options: They add sweet potato to the veggie burger. This makes it stand out.“
“Urban Orchard just released their 'spicy' line for Halloween. In general, it's excellent, starting at mild (2.5k Scoville) and going up to hot (250k Scoville). Then they have one that is 2.2 Million Scoville. My lips hurt just from sipping it. It makes me light-headed, and that is not from the alcohol. It's like drinking a bottle of the hottest hot sauce you can imagine. I can barely taste the cider over the scorpion pepper flavor. In other words, I have found my happy place.“
“The view was beautiful and it was sunset. The ambience was very warm and everyone was attentive but not intrusive. Our waiter Ben was exceptional and took excellent care of our table. The food was heavenly, we had the Sea Bass and the Lobster Pasta. Everything was excellent!“
“My wife and I were looking for a bite to eat before checking out a movie at Grail Moviehouse. We decided to get some pizza. We’re glad we went here. We went with Rose’s pizza and loved it. The crust was thin and delicious. The toppings were great - especially the garlic which was soft and buttery. They have a nice selection of beverages. I went with the Shanti Elixirs jun mocktail - blueberry basil. It is the best kombucha I’ve had - and I’ve been trying loads of them recently to find the right ones for me. Overall - it was a great meal in a wonderful area for artists and art lovers.Vegetarian options: There were a few different veggie friendly pies available. All of the ingredients for each pizza are clearly labeled so you can rest easy knowing you’re getting what you pay for.“
“The reviews were spot on. Great place for dinner. Started with pimento cheese dip and fried green tomatoes. Both were good and pimento cheese was unique due to it being hot. I had the shrimp P.O. boy and it was delicious with very soft bread making it easy to eat. For my side, I didn't go with traditional French fries, I got the chicken tortilla soup. Probably one of the best I've had. Hubby had the fried chicken with collards and gave his a 4 overall. Our friends had the chicken sandwich and avocado toast , both of which were good. We would come back here the next time in Asheville. I have to add that the manager, Matt, was great. The table next to us had a very drunk individual. While he did disrupt us or our dining experience at all, he was loud and obnoxious. The manager quietly exited the table and came over to apologize to us. Again, we were not disturbed at all, but he wanted to make sure that we were ok. Extra star for that!“
“I really wish that I could give Tall John's more than 5 stars because it's perfect. The menu is American classics done with skill and attention to detail. We've been twice in one week and every single dish is delicious. The tartare comes with crackers that have been lovingly fried and aren't the least big greasy as well as a whole pile of fresh soft herbs and the pan sauce from the roast chicken is good enough to drink. We are extremely particular about cocktails and these have clearly been meticulously fine tuned. They come ice cold in chilled glasses and it is deeply satisfying. I think you can always tell when staff like working at a restaurant and the staff seems relaxed and happy. Service is just as good as the food. I described a salad I'd seen someone eating on a previous visit to our server and he said he was pretty sure it was the "very good green salad." After he brought it and I'd had some he said "is that the salad you dreamed of?" We wish service would be like this everywhere and all these details will keep us coming back again and again.“
“This place was recommended to us and it didn't disappoint. We started off with queso fries and the super queso fries, both very good. We ordered their big cheese burgers, which were all cooked just as we asked, medium- rare on a gluten-free bun , medium, and medium well. And the youngest had their chicken nuggets and fries. The fries were fresh, crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside.Everyone had the same expression after eating. THAT WAS GOOD!Our waiter was very attentive. He made sure we had what we needed. Overall, it is a very cool and chill atmosphere to have some good food.“
“We ate here late on a Sunday afternoon during a quick visit to Asheville. My husband loves shepherd’s pie, and we both think this was the best we’ve ever tasted. I ordered something else, but will get this next visit! We also enjoyed the Irish music, and the service was fast and friendly.“
“Every time we pass through on our travels, we stop in and have our favorites. We get the chicken Buffalo bites, the Reuben, rolls, and yummy tea. The service is always great and the food is always fresh and absolutely delicious. We've been stopping by for several years now, and they never disappoint.“
“We actually popped in this place about a year ago for a bite to eat late on a Saturday night. We were pleasantly surprised about how good the food was. The burger, grill cheese & tomato soup, and the tacos were amazing. The drinks were also pretty good. Will stop here again id they are open.“
“The Salvage Station is easily the best music venue in Asheville. Every month I end up seeing a show here because they continuously provide an amazing experience and host amazing musicians. The grounds are organized in a way to make getting drinks, food , or a restroom break an absolute breeze. Whether inside or outside I always have a great time here.Thank you Salvage Station and see you soon!“
“Cornerstone is a family-owned and operated restaurant that serves the best breakfast, burgers, and Greek food in Asheville. We are new customers but are now regulars for years to come, we enjoyed their generous portions, fresh ingredients, and friendly service. The restaurant is cozy and clean, with a casual and relaxed vibe. They also have daily specials, online ordering, and catering options. Whether you're looking for a hearty meal, a quick bite, or a delicious dessert, Cornerstone has something for everyone. We highly recommend this place to anyone who loves good food and good value. Cornerstone is a true gem in Asheville.“
“Nice gem of a bar, at the base of Lexington Ave. in Asheville. Ample parking across the street. Has great music ?. Great bartender, too. Cool place to socialize. Has an outdoor patio area in front for smokers with a big open front window so you can hear music outside.“
“Bear’s bbq of Asheville catered my wedding this weekend in Boone, NC and they were amazing!!! My husband & I had ate here on a trip to asheville once and we were hooked. The food for our wedding was so great & the staff was incredibly friendly and easy to work with! I didnt even have the chance to worry about food clean up by the time the wedding was over because they were so quick! The tables were quickly bussed & leftovers put away for us to take home! We overestimated the amount of food we needed for our guest count, but I’m glad we did because I had guest going back for 2nds & 3rds! Even the leftovers taste amazing. Thank you so so much for a great evening!!“
“Interesting little spot in West Asheville. Smash burgers and fires were hot of the grill and very filling.Josh was both bartender and waiter but was very attentive.Parking: The parking lot is small, so we can see having to find a spot up the street and walk down.“
“This place rips. Had the red beans n' rice + boudin balls and it was one of the best meals I've had in town all year. Everything was super flavorful and authentic tasting. 1 million percent going back and trying everything else - pumped to have some legit cajun food in town!“
“Super friendly staff and the food is always great. One of my favorite places to go to eat in town.Vegetarian options: You can sub Jackfruit for all taco options. Part of my family is vegetarian, and they can always fund something new and fun to eat here.Dietary restrictions: This place can accommodate my daughter with celiac disease, and she has never had an issue here. They are great!“
“Fine dining at its finest. High end with amazing dishes. There was 5 of us and we all got different plates so we can try it all. Everything was a taste above the rest. The price reflects the quality. Highly recommend for dinner and a birthday celebration.“
“I get lunch here pretty often. The food is solid, the people are nice, and the atmosphere is very cute and fun. Great affordable spot downtown. I recommend the caesar salad with a scoop of chicken salad (it might sound crazy but it is tasty).“
“Met some really nice people. Have karaoke all night on Friday. Prices were high though for a local bar. Love the business responded. Awesome you have cheaper beer!! Amazing. We drink alcohol most times. I've had alcohol at locations that weren't doing a craft drink at cheaper than the $9 was charged BUT I get it. Location plays a role in prices and you gotta do what you can. I just appreciate the business responded and cares. So I'm upping my rating to a 4 based on that alone. So many places don't care!“
“I recently had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant with a large party of eight, even at a late hour they were able to get us a seat just before closing time. The staff was incredibly accommodating, and the menu offered a variety of excellent choices. I was particularly impressed with the delicious vegetarian options, and the vegetarian quinoa bowl was a standout. Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The service was prompt and attentive, contributing to a positive overall experience. Moreover, the prices were reasonable, making it a great place for both quality and affordability. I highly recommend this restaurant for a delightful dining experience.“
“This place is so cute! Vibe, drinks, service and food were on point. My boyfriend and I got artichokes, buffalo shrimp, a grilled cheese, a couple beers and did a flight of their spirits: the food was all very good and Joanne was the best! Highly recommend.“
“Stopped in after a friend recommended watching the open mic night for stand up.Good location with two floors and chill vibe. Seating and food options on the first floor off of College st and upstairs live music, to stand up, events etc when entering through Patton ave. Good drink selections and plenty of grub for late night outings like pizza and wings. Overall fun place to kickback. Cheers!!“
“The open faced biscuit and gravy chicken biscuit was beyond delicious. The award winning fried chicken breast is really just a cut above. They also had a great vegan BBQ tofu sandwich that tastes incredible. Great spot for a quick, affordable, and LOCAL bite!!!“
