Great place to visit, lots of independent shops selling all manner of things you won’t find elsewhere. Also lots of coffee shops, bars and eateries. Well worth a visit for a browse.

A trip to Brighton is not complete without a walk along the pier.

Despite the flashing lights, slot machines and candied treats, there is another side to the pier.

Listen hard enough and you will hear the sea's ancient cry. It tells of seasons past, sunken in depths unseen. It speaks in waves, ferocious and friendly. Carrying the jubilant cries of fairground voices into the night, until they become a distant siren. Forever left adrift in a melancholic voyage.

Great views of Brighton. Quite expensive for the experience as it doesn’t last very long. Expensive bar inside the pod.

Did a 20 mile hike to get here, the mountain itself is only about a mile but it is still a decent trek especially with the steepness. Once up there you get a grande view of all of Brighton and Worthing. The view is beautiful and the peaks of devils dyke look beautiful. It’s the perfect spot for a picnic or date, there’s also a pub both at the bottom of the hill and at the top so you have plenty of places to eat, we didn’t on our trek but it’s there for those who want it.

Beneath the cliffs along the Sussex seafront there are paths to take you alongside the beach.

Within Brighton there are different paths some on the same level as the beach and some are a bit higher.

The ones next to the seafront are well maintained however when I visited in January 2024 one of the paths higher up the cliff was closed.

You get some lovely views of the beach and the surrounding area including the piers and the marina.

Took my son here for a belated birthday present, we had a hospitality package at Bruno’s. From the minute we arrived we were treated so well. We were greeted with sparkling wine, had a fantastic meal, plenty of drinks and the staff were exceptional (big shout out to the retired events lady -Mary?)
I can’t recommend this place highly enough, it’s not cheap but the experience is fantastic.
Thank you so much for a great time, unfortunately my son is a Manchester United fan and we were at the last game of the season which United won 2-0!
    Such a fantastic experience!

I had a chicken dansak and Bombay aloo. It was the best I’ve had and I have one quite regularly at various takeouts. The chicken was cooked really well and not dry and the sauce was a great lentil mix of sweet and sour spices. I would recommend this place and they were super friendly.

Our guide was excellent. He had researched a lot of the history Brighton Police and was good at answering qyuestions. Next time that you want something to do for about an hour and a half in Brighton, for a very reasonable cost, please book a tour.

It was a nice day in the Easter holidays, my children and I focused and ready to do something different. "Let's go to the Booth Museum", I said with trepidation, having been recommended it by my sister who, frankly, has extremely different ideas as to what is fun and what is not.

We walked through and into the old building, neither children remotely interested in what they were about to witness. What greeted us was floor to ceiling glass boxes housing every possible animal you can think of, stuffed within an inch of it's now non-existent life. A particular favorite of mine was the enormous taxidermied swan, that loomed over my 3 year old, as she raised her tiny head to see it's beak wide open, seemingly ready to take a bite.

The children humored me and we walked down the columns of dead animals, my 6 year old feigning interest to make sure I knew he was 'having the best day ever'. They soon changed their tune when we reached the Skeleton Room.

If you want to see your children's face light up, show them the skeletons of various monkeys, whales and lions. Somewhat concerned at how invested they both seemed to be with incorrectly guessing which animal was which, I decided to call it a day.

Did the children have nightmares? Yes.

Was it a good time? Absolutely.

We absolutely loved our trip here. There is so much to see. Each case is filled with old toys or trains. The mini model trains are brilliant to look at, so much details. I’d definitely recommend a visit to this museum if you are in Brighton. Lovely man at the reception desk too, very informative and friendly.

Great park - lovely for families with small children as plenty of space for them to run about and do what they please. Cafes, lawns, formal borders and a rose garden with statues, wild flowers in the summer, a velodrome situated in the north-east corner, tennis courts, childrens play area, runners and joggers galore. Opposite the park, across the main London Road is the largest municipal rock garden in Britain, built up the side of a steep railway embankment. Various pathways and streams wind through its grounds.

A delightful space to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Excellent mug of tea from the small cafe near the newly reopened public toilets. We had an entertaining game of ping pong on the table under the shade of a tree. There was a heron on the pond, plenty of dogs (which are excluded from the kids play areas). A well kept and welcoming space with room for everyone.

There is so much to discover here. Don't bother with the big house, there isn't much there anymore. Get out and visit the organics and foraging, then try for forage for yourself.
