Description
Booker T. & the MG's ("Otis Redding Recording Band") 1960's Tour Blank Concert Poster. An original cardboard window card advertising "The Fabulous" Booker T. and the MG's and his Band and Show, including "Soulful Little David," performing in concert. This was a tour-blank concert poster, with plenty of blank space left up top for local concert information to be printed or written in by hand. "King of the Hammond Organ," the poster calls him. Three of T's singles are plugged: "Hip Hug-Her," "Boot-Leg" and "Green Onions." The latter track was Booker's first big hit, going #3 Pop a few years earlier.Measures 14" x 22 1/8" and grades to Near Mint Minus condition. To the direct left of "Hip," there's either a white waterstain or a printer's flaw. Slight browning around all four margins. All four corners only very lightly touched, doing little more than simply removing their razor-sharpness. COA from Heritage Auctions.
