Subject: Good Adaptation
The book by S E Hinson adapted well to the screen. Coppola did, of course, an excellent job directing and the casting was perfect.There is a longer version through different editing techniques for those viewers who wanted more clarity in the fights, the reasons, the importance of the threat of reform school. The book's author was even given a bit part as one of the hospital nurses.
