Iceland Air is the worst. We booked from Tampa to Keflavik in 2019. Found out they decided discontinue flying toTampa in the newspaper, no word or email from Iceland Air. Changed flight to Orlando (closest place). The day before we were to travel Iceland Air sent a text our flight was delayed TWO DAYS! Said because of storm (not true) we ended up booking on American Airlines last minute for double the price to make sure to catch the tour we booked. Tried to get Iceland Air to pay the difference with no avail! Forward to 2024, booked again from Keflavik to JFK. Just before we traveled, about a week, Iceland Air changed the departure time so if anybody was taking the flight it would be impossible to make a connection and you would be stuck in JFK. Booked on United Airlines to get home as scheduled. Think twice about booking Iceland Air!…

My passport was denied because of a 90 day policy when I booked my flight in January when my passport expires in June. They told me there was nothing they could do and gave me a number while I was at the airport. I called the number to which the lady said I need to go online and file a claim. I filed a claim it was acknowledged at 7:06 AM, and at 7:07 I received a two paragraph rejection letter. Clearly no human looked at this. They would not give me my money back, or even a trip voucher for another day. I’ve been fighting this for four months and is almost impossible to get someone from Icelandair to reply.…

We flew with Icelandair as a family of 4 in April 2024. We have never used Icelandair before and we were a bit worried having read mixed reviews online but from booking right through to landing we were really impressed. The planes were modern and clean with very comfortable seats and we felt we had a good amount of leg room compared to other air lines. The online entertainment system had something for everyone. We found the staff at the airport and onboard to be very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our smooth journey to and from JFK and we would definitely look to book with Icelandair again in the future.…

Missed connecting flight to Glasgow. Missed it due to incoming flight being late. We were only late by a few minutes and the plane did not wait for us. It was a group of 6 people traveling together. We ended up spending 24 hrs in Rejkyavik which messed up our vacation plans.

Icelandair decided arbitrarily to require us to check our bags in the Reykjavik airport. My grandson's inhaler was in his bag. All the bags were within their published size ranges and fit into their airport sizers. We carried on the bags in Chicago and still had the "cabin luggage approved" stickers on them. When I asked the hateful woman in Reykjavik why they were taking them when they were approved in Chicago she said because they are the "master airport." We booked with Icelandair because the flights were less expensive, and we enjoyed the idea of seeing a little of Iceland on the connecting flight. We ended up spending way more because everything in Iceland was so expensive. For example the rental car was $400USD for 1 day. I will not fly Icelandair again.…
