John Doyle Globe and Mail Olsen is excellent, as is Janet McTeer as her mother. Recommended, if you are able to dwell on grief. Jul 22, 2022 Full Review Debi Enker The Age (Australia) Steinkellner's dialogue is whip-smart and she gives her characters nuance and substance. Rated: 4/5 Jan 28, 2022 Full Review Emily St. James Vox Thank goodness for shows like Sorry for Your Loss, which treat the stories of real lives as the stuff of fantasy epics and dare to suggest that what happens in our lives is important, no matter how mundane. Nov 25, 2019 Full Review Kathryn Reklis The Christian Century All of this drama might be just about interpersonal relationships and the difficulty of knowing another person. But it is also an exploration of race in America... Feb 14, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews

Andrei D Moves too fast and swerves too much but performances are good Rated 3 out of 5 stars 06/05/24 Full Review Sander L Shows like these are just too good, portraying grief in such a beautiful way. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/27/24 Full Review Mike R Remembering my review of Season 0ne, and how it hit so close to home, In season 2 the eyeshadow episodes hiding reality behind the mask for me almost brought me to tears. I cannot stop thinking the writers wrote to deep personal experience and that made it all so real. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/27/23 Full Review Joe F An exceptional follow up to season one that shows the slightly longer term effects of loss on our main character. Very sad there won't be a 3rd season, especially with that ending! I felt like even just one more season would have wrapped up the story perfectly! Seeing the trailer, I was wondering how they'd handle the more fantastical elements of hallucinations, but they incorporated it fluidly into the overall story and it was excellently done. Olsen brought equally as strong as a performance to this season as she did in the first. Her character progresses then regresses only to progress again in a manner that is hyper-realistic of life's struggles with grief. Without spoiling anything, there were two or three scenes with her character where I could feel that sharp gut pain of sadness like a knife. Wonderful performance. Only reason I detracted my rating a bit compared to the first season was because this season spent a bit too much time on side character's stories that the overall narrative did not need to push the story forward and it causes you to lose your attention at times. As the old writing rule goes, if a scene can be cut and not effect the story or main characters in any way, it doesn't need to be in there. Other than that little note, fantastic writing again from the team. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Sorry For Your Loss is a Series that is impossible to watch. Leigh's story will continue this season that will exceed expectations and take her to another level, while Elizabeth Olsen will delight us with her wonderful and beautiful performance. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member The clearest thing to me while watching this show is that the role of widow Leigh Shaw was made for Elizabeth Olsen. Not only does she pull it off with her own little comedic touches, but also manages to perform better than anyone would have imagined. Lizzie Olsen is making a name for herself; a legacy, in the world of television AND cinema. The only aspect to be weary of is how sad the show will make you feel! Her performance is astounding, but the ensemble cast is nothing short of fantastic, to say the least. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews
