Eugene Son is a prolific writer for television and comics. He wrote or co-wrote five episodes of the first two seasons of The Legend of Vox Machina, and is credited as a co-producer on the series.[1] His story editor responsibilities included helping to run the writers room, coordinating with the writers and their scripts, and editing/rewriting when needed.

His previous television work includes Blade Runner: Black Lotus and Marvel Super Hero Adventures,[1] and his comics include issues of Ultimate Spider-Man and Cartoon Network Action Pack.[2]

Prior to coming onboard The Legend of Vox Machina, Eugene had written for executive producer and showrunner Brandon Auman on shows including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for Nickelodeon and Star Wars: Resistance for Lucasfilm. He had worked with Travis Willingham, Laura Bailey, Matt Mercer, and Liam O'Brien on Marvel's Avengers Assemble, and with Ashley Johnson on Ben 10. His enjoyment of swords and sorcery and playing role playing games led him to write an episode of TMNT called “Mazes and Mutants” where the Ninja Turtles play an RPG and LARP. He was a fan of Critical Role through working with the cast and watching clips of the show.

Eugene is a native of southern California and graduated from the University of California at San Diego with a BA in Literature Writing.[3]
