Lesa Kite's first credit came as a writer on The Bad News Bears, the sitcom spinoff of the 1976 Walter Matthau / Tatum O'Neal movie.
She went on to numerous high profile sitcoms, including The Jeffersons, Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley, Joanie loves Chachi, Alice, Oh Madeline, The New Leave it to Beaver, Married...With Children and Head of the Class. Later in her career, Kite penned episodes of the cartoons Jungle Cubs, Recess, Hey Arnold! and the Kids from Room 402.
She also produced episodes of The New Leave It to Beaver (1986) Babes (1990) and Running the Halls (1993).
