Perfect movie for a gray day! This film feels a little long and the editing/cinematography could use some work, but the acting is award-worthy! It is definitely Casey Affleck's best work and also a wonderful performance by Lucas Hedges!

Wow. Didn’t expect it to be this good. Phenomenal acting. Such realistic acting and dialogue. I’m happily blown away by how moving and dark this movie was. A reflection of the tragedies of real life. A journey we all take eventually. 5 stars.

Perfect movie, loved everything, the acting, the soundtrack, the cinematic shots, story, pacing, everything! Casey Affleck was an amazing actor, loved the litle comedy scenes , his sinergy with his nephew was perfect aswell. My favourute scene was when he was getting interrogated and tried to suicide after the cops let him go. AMAZING MOVIE

A film of silences and unspoken emotions, it's a slow-burner that gradually unfolds with the characters grappling with grief in different ways. There are no grand pronouncements or cathartic moments of resolution, which is just the beauty of the film, <i>Manchester by the Sea</i> instead lingers slowly with viewers, it's a quiet meditation on the enduring power of grief, the complexities of forgiveness, and the tentative hope for connection even in the face of an overwhelmingly heartbreaking loss.
