Hey guys so can someone tell me how do i open a torrent file?? if i open it its sowing some sort of codes or links..am i supposed download anything or is there some problem in my laptop..i am asking this here because there a file where it has some resources but i am unable to open..so pls help me!

Torrent files simply give directories on where the snippets of your files are. Then, a torrent client can use that information to download a file by taking little bits of the file from multiple sources.
Hence, you need a torrent client. I suggest bittorrent. Download the client and try opening the file.

Not sure if this is entirely true, but I have heard that bittorrent comes with a hidden spyware called "WebHelper", I used virustotal to check and it confirmed it had some sort of malware.

This is true. Doing research on how to open torrents rn and when i googled torrent clients, it was the first one that came up. After I downloaded, my pc downloaded a few other apps including Opera and my computer started automatically opening my settings and setting Opera to the default browser, almost like someone had remote control over it. I had to shut it down and unplug my ethernet cable and then uninstall all the apps it had downloaded. I'd avoid it.
i might be TOTALLY wrong but i think you can open torrent files via the tor browser….

You need to download some kind of torrent software like BiglyBT. You can then use the app to open the torrent file which will begin a download. However, keep in mind that it is illegal in some countries (like Germany) and is easily traceable if you don’t use VPN so make sure you do your research.
