We learned a lot about the Everglades environment including the area around it. The only bad thing was after the first drop off the bus broke down. This trip was a good mix of wildlife and island scenery in a part of the Everglades that is less traveled. - Chad H1 contributionWe enjoyed not being in a crowded boat as we explored beautiful scenery. The captain shared great insight into the area, ecosystem and sea life.
Close up dolphin, manatee and bird viewing were bonuses on our adventure.
After leaving we were given additional suggestions for art and wildlife viewing that we took advantage of on our return home. - Claudia H1 contributionEnoch was a great guide very knowledgeable. The only downside was that the tickets through TripAdvisor said to meet at 7:30 but they didn’t come until 8:30. We knew what to expect prior to arrival and to start, we loved just being on the boat with Ty (he was such a fun and knowledgeable guide!) and then we got to see manatees, dolphins galore, and even a sea turtle or two! The beach we stopped at along the way was beautiful and we got to see some turtle nesting sites. - Judy M10 contributionsMy husband and I felt as if we were on a Floridian Safari. So much nature all around us. From in the water to flying above and everything in between. Florida is teaming with wildlife and our guide Abigail was very personable and knowledgeable of the eco systems we were introduced to in our full day tour. The tour was everything we expected plus more Lunch was delicious too BTW Abigail kept us on schedule and we never felt rushed. The airboat through the grass river with Capt Randy was very educational. The speed boat ride through the 10,000 Isands was fun and we did get to see a dolphin and spend a little time on one of the islands where we found a couple of amazing shells. Our walking tour through the Big Cypress forest was a treat where we saw bromeliads and orchids growing on the trees. A few turtles allowed us a peek and we saw how the roots of the Cypress trees grow back up through the surface for better stability to withstand the hurricane season.
