Max confirmed ahead of the And Just Like That Season 2 finale in August that the show will be back for Season 3.

“We are thrilled to spend more time in the Sex and the City universe telling new stories about the lives of these relatable and aspirational characters played by these amazing actors,” executive producer Michael Patrick King said. “And Just Like That… Here comes season three.”

Here is everything we know about the next installment, including cast updates.

Will there be a Season 3 of And Just Like That?

Yes! King had previously offered fans hope for a continuation, telling The Hollywood Reporter that "there is enough in the play now that we could do some good stories if it happened."

"From a writing point of view, I’m really happy with what we did with all of the characters," he said. "And I think that the actors have so much dimension and so much talent that I wouldn’t think that that would dry up."

What is the And Just Like That Season 3 release date?

Max has not revealed an exact premiere date yet, but the show will not return until 2025. AJLT fans are used to waiting. There was a 15-month gap between the Season 1 finale on Feb. 3, 2022 and the Season 2 premiere on June 22, 2023.

Will John Corbett be back for And Just Like That Season 3?

John Corbett

No word on whether Corbett will be back for Season 3, but given that Season 2 ended with him breaking up with Carrie to focus on raising his troubled youngest son—and asking her to wait five years for him!—it seems unlikely he'll be back for Season 3. Maybe Season 6?!

Will Che be back for And Just Like That Season 3?

Sara Ramírez

No. Variety confirmed on Feb. 26, 2024 that Sara Ramirez, who played Che, will not be back. The news followed an earlier report from the Daily Mail on Jan. 17, 2024, which came one day after Ramirez, who is nonbinary and uses they/them pronouns, blasted the entertainment industry on Instagram, strongly implying that they'd been fired from the show for their stance on the conflict between Israel and Palestine.

“Our industry is so duplicitous. While they give awards away, casting directors and agents are making blacklists of actors and workers who post anything in support of Palestinians in Gaza to ensure they will not work again,” Ramirez wrote. “While they lift up some of their own clients who have spoken up against this genocide, they are firing and letting others who have smaller platforms go.”

The actor went on to hint that they would not be reprising their role in AJLT Season 3.

“It’s wild how performative so many in Hollywood are. Even more performative than the last character I played. 💅🏽."

In response to the Ramirez's Instagram post, a source told the Daily Mail that the actor wasn't fired because they support Palestine, but because their character's storyline had run its course (Che and Miranda broke up in Season 2).

"After Che split with Miranda, the character really held no value anymore and fans found them annoying. The storyline as a struggling comedian was a waste of airtime and Sara knew it," the source said.

The insider also added that Cynthia Nixon has been "incredibly vocal about her support for Palestine."

"Sara needs to accept that this is not Grey’s Anatomy, and [their] character was not a pivotal part of the storyline."
