Robert Downey Jr. poked fun at Chris Hemsworth on behalf of the Avengers while attending the Thor star’s Walk of Fame Star Ceremony on Thursday (May 23) in Hollywood, Calif.
The Iron Man actor attended the event alongside Chris‘s Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga costar Anya Taylor-Joy.
When he took the stage to deliver a speech, Robert shared the responses that he got from the rest of the original Avengers when he asked them to describe Chris in a few words.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has introduced so many popular stars to the franchise over the years. However, we’ll always have a sweet spot in our hearts for the original six members of the Avengers – Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo and Jeremy Renner.
It’s been years since Black Widow, Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk and Hawkeye first assembled.
However, we’re always hoping to see more of them on the big screen. So much so that there are always rumors that the stars have other MCU projects in the works.
The stories of many of the original members seemingly came to a close in recent years. Even still, the actors are asked about the franchise in almost every interview they have.
Of course, it doesn’t help that a massive report in late 2023 suggested that there were efforts to get the team back together again.
What are the chances of that happening? We rounded up the latest thing that each of the actors has said about their future with Marvel. The most recent comments were made in April 2024!
There’s also a huge hint that two of the six are making cameos in one of the franchise’s most-anticipated blockbusters this year.

Saturday Night Live has been the launching ground for some of the greatest comics of all time.
Since launching in 1975, so many stars have appeared on the beloved late-night show’s cast. It’s been a springboard for many onto even bigger projects in Hollywood.
Along the way, so many members have the cast have become rich and amassed impressive net worths.
With the season finale of SNL airing on May 18, we decided to look back over the show’s storied history to see which stars have done the best for themselves. The top earner beats the closest competition by nearly $150 million!

Oppenheimer‘s dominance of awards season proved that it was one of the biggest movies of 2023. That’s thanks in large part to the star-studded (and very wealthy) cast that starred in it.
The historical drama was the big winner at the 2024 Oscars in March. It went into the show as the most-nominated picture with 13 nods and finished up the night with seven wins, including Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor and Best Picture.
With so much attention on the movie, we got curious about which of its many stars was the wealthiest. We did some digging and looked up the estimated net worth of each of the most notable actors and ranked them.
It’s mostly a close ranking, but the star who comes in at the top spot beats out the closest competition by more than $100 million!

Robert Downey Jr. is going for EGOT!
The recent Oscar winner is set to make his Broadway debut later this year in the new play McNeal.
Lincoln Center Theater will produce the new play by Ayad Akhtar and directed by Bartlett Sher. It will begin preview performances at the Vivian Beaumont Theater on September 5 ahead of an opening night performance on September 30. The limited engagement will end November 24.

Robert Downey Jr. is one of the first of many truly perfect casting decisions that Marvel made when building the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, he was very nearly not cast as Iron Man.
The Oscar-winning actor kickstarted the MCU with the first Iron Man movie in 2008. Now, it’s abundantly clear that he is the “genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist” that is Tony Stark.
After entering the franchise, he played the iconic hero in 10 movies. He seemingly exited the role with 2019′s Avengers: Endgame, but there are some questions about a potential comeback.
Now it’s clear that he was the right choice. At the time, it was seen as a risk to cast him due to personal struggles. Marvel wanted to hit it out of the park and begin their franchise with a bang. They weren’t sure that he could do that.
This was before the MCU had become one of the biggest film franchises of all time. However, there was still a lot of interest in playing Tony Stark. In honor of the 16th anniversary of Iron Man this week, we did some digging and rounded up eight stars who were tied to the role.
The list includes one actor who outright turned it down and some other very big names that have commented on their experience.

Robert Downey Jr. is standing by his friend and costar Chris Hemsworth.
The Marvel actors brought Iron Man and Thor, respectively to life in the expansive Marvel Cinematic Universe for years. Their fate moving forward is less clear.
In a new interview, Chris admitted that it was sometimes frustrating playing Marvel’s god of thunder, saying that his character felt less dimensional than the other heroes.
“Sometimes I felt like a security guard for the team,” he reflected. “I would read everyone else’s lines, and go, Oh, they got way cooler stuff. They’re having more fun. What’s my character doing? It was always about, ‘You’ve got the wig on. You’ve got the muscles. You’ve got the costume. Where’s the lighting?’ Yeah, I’m part of this big thing, but I’m probably pretty replaceable.”
Robert was not having it.
