I work in a middle school, and whenever there's a small group that gets to watch a reward movie, they ask if they can watch Coraline. It's PG, so nobody's going to freak about about 11-14 year olds watching it, and they all seem happy to watch it and pay attention.

And personally, I think it's great, too. I love the Claymation style and the character designs, and the way they really bring the characters to life is a lot of fun. It has enough of a creep factor to not feel like a little kid movie and enough room for character growth that you really are cheering for her by the end.
