Great hotel in a great location for exploring Nashville.
We first stayed here in 2016 and booked again for our April ‘23 trip and was worried by all the recent bad reviews.
Having just finished our 3 night stay I’m glad we ignored them as our stay was great.
From check in, the room, all the staff we encountered, the location, everything was great.
The room is a good size, very clean and with all the amenities you could need.
Location wise it’s less than 10 min walk to Broadway or a short Uber to any of the other locations you might want to visit.
I’m a diamond member and stay at lots of Hilton properties all over the world and really can’t find anything bad to say about this hotel.
Will be back again next year.

This hotel was in a great location and the staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful.
My complaint would be the size of the tiny triangular shaped room. After a 10 hour drive we were so glad to get checked in. However, I should have asked for another room. Also, they put a hold on my credit card for the entire stay which is customary and expected. Then the following 2 days my credit card alerted me that there were 2 more charges placed without the card present for the room!! These charges totaled 2 times the cost of the whole stay including the high priced valet parking.
When I requested an explanation from the front desk, the first response was it would be corrected and they would send an email...neither of those happened. I then went back that evening and they said to continue to look for the email. Well, no email and the hold remained on my card for 4 days. Glad I didn’t need to use the card for anything else!!
I know that holds on debit cards stay on longer, but this was a credit card.

The room was clean but WAY TOO SMALL for the price we paid.

My parents, boyfriend, and I stayed at the DoubleTree in Nashville recently and it was the perfect spot and the perfect hotel! We were very close to Broadway and could easily access it by walking, scooter, or Uber - all of which we used at one point. The lobby is absolutely gorgeous and a great first impression for the hotel. Upon checking in we were planning on opting out of valet and parking at nearby lot, but Jamie explained that the downtown lots end up costing more due to how they charge, so we appreciated that info!

As for the actual stay - the service was impeccable! I cannot give Jamie at the front desk enough praise. When we were having troubles with our room key, she personally escorted us up to our room and took care of us. She was exceedingly friendly and could not have been more helpful!

Our breakfast server was also amazing (I don't remember his name unfortunately, but I believe he said he was from Laos). He told great jokes and was very helpful and personable!

In addition to the great service, the hotel was also impeccably clean. Given the circumstances we felt extra safe staying there and could tell that they were doing their best to make sure everybody was comfortable traveling in this environment.

Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Nashville, and thank the great staff for their amazing service!

So many negatives about this property I seriously would stay at the hostel before I stayed here again.

1. I came back to my room a found my items moved around (mostly in the bathroom). Immediately called down to see if anyone from the hotel had come in to my room, even though I had the do not disturb sign up. They said no, records didn't show anyone, but I could leave a message with housekeeping and they could double check their records the next day. Needless to say I did not sleep that well, even though I had all the locks on that night. Mentioned it on checking out and was told "oh, well it was probably maintenance, I wouldn't worry about it"...so I was feeling uncomfortable all night and now you tell me not to worry about it? Barely even said sorry. I've had other Hilton properties go over the top to help when I mentioned something about the room not being quite as clean as I'd hoped (garage in the bin or something) and the Doubletree basically has to be prompted to apologize.

2. There were some changes to my trip and I couldn't remember what my final dates were. I called down to confirm my check out day and was told it was the following day. After breakfast I went to the front desk for something and I was told I was actually supposed to check out that same day. I'm not sure why whoever was on the phone and the front desk had different information.

3. I ended up extending my stay by one night and asked if it would be at the same rate and I was assured it would be. Upon checking my receipt in my email after check out, I discovered that I actually had 2 significantly different rates (instead of the average rate you generally see when booking) and they had charged me the highest rate, which wasn't even the night directly before the extension. So double check to see every charge in writing before you agree to anything.

4. Walls are super thin! I heard every word of my neighbours phone conversation, which my guess was at a loud, but talking level, like she was standing right next to me. Also, could hear everyone in the hallway, and sometimes couldn't tell if they were knocking on my door or my neighbour's.

Basically, even though I got a good rate at the hotel, I did not feel like it was worth it at all. If your stay is problem free and you don't have neighbours, you'd probably enjoy this hotel, because it is in a nice location, but I'd book it with crossed fingers.

I visited this hotel for a business conference. My length of stay was 3 nights. Due to COVID, housekeeping is being brought back “gently,” was the word, I was told. The last evening of my stay, I came back to my room after teaching a course. I was surprised to find the door to my room was cracked open via the door latch. (I had not left it that way). I opened the door to find the bed had been stripped; no clean linens, anywhere. I looked in the bathroom, and my belongings were missing. I then looked at the dresser, and all of my belongings were gone. My clothes were still in the closet - thank goodness.
Long story short, housekeeping had thrown out my stuff, such that it could not be salvaged. They misunderstood my check out day. You would think, walking into the room, my bag in the corner was readily obvious, the keeper should have double-checked before just throwing my stuff away. As well, why not put it in a Lost & Found area, until clarification is received on the customer’s checkout status?? Just common sense. As it is, some items can not be replaced. The hotel manager offered me Hilton Honors points or a free dinner to make up for their irresponsibility. Um, no thanks.
I’ve received no follow up, even though hotel management realized that their employee messed up. And! The icing on the cake: I reviewed my cc bill this past week, and to my surprise, the hotel actually charged me an incidentals charge - after they threw away approximately $150 of my belongings!!!! Unbelievable!
So disappointed.

At last minute we had to find a hotel in downtown Nashville for one night. The Doubletree had competitive pricing and was convenient to the Ryman and other downtown attractions so we booked a room there. [This is while omicron virus is surging, btw.] At check in, only one of two agents was wearing a mask (we three were masked). Once we got to our room, we immediately turned on the TV to watch a big football game, only to find there was only sound and no image. We phoned the front desk and a person came expeditiously to switch out the TV. He was wearing no mask and in our little hotel room with now 4 people that was shocking to me. I put mine on.
The next morning, after one use, the toilet plugged up. We phoned for assistance and a repairman came up expeditiously, and entered the room wearing no mask. He fixed the toilet so that it would flush but then it began to leak water all over the floor. A few minutes later another repair person showed up with the repaired TV that belonged to our room since they are programmed for each room specifically. He came unannounced and was not wearing a mask.
At checkout, we were referred for airport transportation information to one of the desk agents, who wasn't wearing a mask but suggested we not use the airport bus because he was a germaphobe and would never take it! I told him that the toilet was leaking and he said that the next day all of the toilets were going to be changed out or some such. I told him that they should take care of it sooner than then as it was leaking water all over the bathroom floor. He seemed not to care.
Our room only had 2 coffee cups for 3 people, no other cups to be found for bathroom or water and only 2 Keurig coffees for 3. I phoned the front desk and they sent up extras, but the next morning when I tried to make coffee, the coffeemaker would turn on, show it was brewing, and then switch off. I tried this multiple times. The only coffee available in the hotel was in the restaurant and since they only had a $25 buffet and no other food, we did not eat there.
On the positive side, the beds were comfortable and they gave us free cookies. None of us used the shower so who knows if there was hot water.

My wife and I recently traveled to Nashville for our 15th wedding anniversary. We stayed at the Doubletree Downtown and had a wonderful stay. Prior to check-in we had good communication with the staff through the Hilton app. We requested an upgrade for our anniversary and they gave us a room on a higher floor with a better view and complimentary snacks and drinks. Once we arrived check-in was a breeze and we were to our room quickly. The staff was wonderful and friendly for our whole stay. We had a nice king room that was spacious and very clean. There was a table with chair, fridge, drinks, snacks, and another corner chair. The bed was very comfortable as was the linens. There was a large window with a view of 4th avenue. Down in the lobby there was a restaurant/bar that stayed open late on weekends and had live music. Unfortunately we did not get to try out the pool on the 2nd floor but it looked really nice. All of that is good enough but the location is excellent. You're right downtown within walking distance to anywhere you want to go downtown. You're about a block from Printers Alley and just a few blocks from the Ryman and Broadway. If you want to eat at an excellent steakhouse, Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse is right across the street. When we're back in Nashville, I would definitely stay here again. Thanks!

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights over the weekend of New Year’s. We initially booked this room due to it being less expensive than comparable ones nearby, and I’m so glad we did. The rooms are small, as you would expect in a hotel this close to downtown, but everything was fantastic. The concierge was very welcoming and the valet employees were always eager to help, even when they were busy. The hotel was clean and comfortable. We will definitely be back whenever we visit Nashville. A few bonuses of this hotel include the proximity to downtown, the chocolate chip cookies (yum), the Starbucks inside the hotel, and the live music each night. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in this area!

Gave it 3 stars mainly for the location. Some of the front desk staff were pretty rude. We get into our room to the toilet running and leaking on the floor. About 1/2 hr later maintenance came and fixed it. The bathroom was not very nice, and no exhaust fan so everything got wet when you showered. The wall paper was kind of peeling, the ceiling paint was bubbling, and There was some mold/mildew in the shower. We booked 3 nights but stayed for 4 only because of the connivence of the place. The front desk also told me Parking was included found out at the end it was $48/night. Don’t plan on staying here again.

Firstly, I would like to say that the staff are pleasant. They are potentially overworked and not well-trained but our birthday/Valentines Weeknd trip went from disaster to disaster. It began with being checked in and not offered diamond member water or the cookies.
Jami is very pleasant and had allocated us a suite as a kind upgrade which we then couldn't get because the hotel was full. This was disappointing but completely understandable. The drinks tokens she then promised us for each night of our three day stay never came. I asked for them and was given two by a front desk person who clearly had no idea what I was talking about.
The weather was poor in Nashville and this excuse was given time and time again for all of the disasters (even when not relevant) but nobody monitored the Hilton honours app live chat our entire stay. Housekeeping didn't come even when asked, and a man who I think worked for housekeeping let himself into our room and asked when we were moving room (we weren't). There was no apology when I asked and I was simply told to deadbolt my door - not the most reassuring,
The restaurant is severely understaffed, and did not have about 50% of the breakfast or dinner items from an already small menu. What restaurant in a hotel has no bread? Mellissa on the restaurant is clearly very unhappy in her job and takes it out on customers. The Asian man is extremely jolly but clearly overworked. Even although we are diamond members we were charged each morning for breakfast. In addition to this we were charged for parking ($50 a night!) when we had no car - very shady! I brought this up to staff and were told it would be taken care of. Of course, the full and incorrect amount came off my credit card and I had to call Amex and Hilton and am hopeful it will be dealt with. This is very unprofessional though, as these charges which were wrong amounted to over $200 and I was lucky I noticed. The room was quiet, the bed is very uncomfortable and I would recommend you bring your own pillows. All in all, the location is great and the hotel has great potential. Check your bill, and I don't recommend staying unless it is summer. The hotel is FREEZING as soon as there's a little bit of a chill outside.
