- Marian PJackson, TN14 contributionsLoved how quiet the island was. Wish I had of known about the crab invasion ahead of time. I would have prepared and had some planned meals. They were everywhere. Not many places to choose from to eat at. The pirates breakfast buffet was awesome, found it the last day of our stay. The seafood place was really good. We got meals from there twice. Stayed at the isle Holiday. It was a great place to stay. Hated the long walk to the beach though. He also was a participant in the March between Selma and Montgomery. His first hand knowledge of the events helped make this a very special experience. Anyone who is considering visiting this area should take his tour. You will leave feeling that you have gained tremendous insight into the events that unfolded here. Fame studios is $20 ea alone. The bouncing around the links to get to the ticket part is confusing. - JBentravelerFort Walton Beach, FL721 contributionsWe were told the Muscle Shoals Studio tour was the best and it was! We only had 3 people in our party so it was very private. Chase did an excellent job answering all of our questions and giving us the scoop.
The Stones, Seger, Rod Stewart, Skynyrd, Cher and many other famous musicians have recorded here. The place is old and has many of the original instruments used.
