Can't get the forgotten password wizard to open

Hi David, my name is Neil, I'm an independent adviser and a Windows 10 user like you.

To create a password reset disk, you *must* be logged into a local account and not a Microsoft account on your computer else it won't work.

In the search box on your taskbar, type the following: Create a password reset disk

Then click on "Create a password reset disk" in the results.

This should open the Forgotten Password Wizard.

If this seemingly does not open, on your keyboard press Alt + Tab. Can you see the Forgotten Password Wizard open? If so, click the X in the corner to close the Wizard. Clicking on the program won't usually bring it to the foreground. It doesn't work on my computer, but I only have a Microsoft account and no local accounts.

You can look at Situation 1 first and see if you can find and click on Create a password reset disk in User Accounts, but if it does not open, go to Situation 2 and follow the instructions.
