After Midnight, the successor to The Late Late Show with James Corden, has announced its release date.

The forthcoming chat show sees Taylor Tomlinson take the reins, with the show premiering on January 16, with episodes airing after The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

“The smartest show on television about the dumbest things on the Internet,” reads the logline for the series (via TVLine), as each evening Tomlinson and a panel of guests will unpack "what set the Internet abuzz that day, with a game show feel”.

Whilst Corden’s stint on US television is over for now, the Gavin & Stacey star recently landed a role on the radio, with the comedian set to front This Life of Mine. The series will feature in-depth conversations with the world’s biggest stars, including memories and “untold stories.”

“Discussing the people, places, moments, and memories that made them who they are today,” reads the logline for the project. “From favourite music and movies to books and advice, the show will seek to tell the untold stories of some of the most well-known public figures.”

“James Corden is an incredible talent who is always pushing the boundaries of what's possible,” said SiriusXM president and chief content officer Scott Greenstein in a statement.
