A logo for Madame Web found its way online earlier today, and we now have a brief description of the first teaser trailer.

This is expected to be released imminently (almost certainly before Friday), and it seems we can expect to see some madcap moments in a movie that's heading our way from the writers of Morbius. That didn't receive an overly positive response last year, but it was put through the wringer in the editing room so we may never know what it once looked like.

Back to Madame Web, and while it sounds undeniably unique, we'll leave it up to you to decide whether that's a good or bad thing!

"Main characters face off against a Spider-Man-like villain, Ezekiel Main characters face off against a Spider-Man-like villain, Ezekiel Simms, in a diner brawl. After a defeat, Madame Web time-travels to redo the fight," reads a breakdown leaked by @Cryptic4KQual. "She teams up with Julia Carpenter and others who share a common threat from Ezekiel."

"He implies the three girls must die because of what they become in the future. Action-packed sequences follow, including an ambulance chase and explosions. We get to see brief glimpses of their costumes."

It’s no secret Madame Web will feature a host of female Spider-Heroes, and we now know they’re brought together by the title character to battle Ezekiel. He was an ally to Peter Parker in the comics before revealing he'd acquired his powers through mystical means and had to sacrifice Spider-Man to a Spider God to save himself.

It’s previously been reported that Madame Web will see Ezekiel target a pregnant Mary Parker, though we can't help but wonder if the idea was scrapped when Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios came to a new agreement to share Tom Holland’s Spider-Man. If so, the movie could have served as a bizarre, very early, origin story for the web-slinger...it still might, of course, even if it isn't ultimately for the Earth-616 Variant!

The mention of time travel and costumes is bound to raise some eyebrows, and many fans will be pleased that these Spider-Heroes are going to suit up rather than spending the whole movie decked out in their regular clothes.

Madame Web features a cast that's led by Dakota Johnson as the title character, with Adam Scott, Emma Roberts, Sydney Sweeney, Celeste O'Connor, Isabela Merced, Tahar Rahim, Mike Epps, and Zosia Mamet set to join her.

S.J. Clarkson (The Defenders) is directing Madame Web from a screenplay by Morbius scribes Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless. As of now, the movie is expected to swing into theaters on February 16, 2024.

Just going to say that if there is ever a live action version of Resident evil 4, Sweeney should be Ashley because of ballistics.

Lot of "Spider-Man-like" to describe basically anything. Lol

That should be the movie tag line. "Madame Web. It's Spider-Man-like"

This sounds really, well... I don't know. Guess I'll have to see it for myself.

Also, the plot sounds somewhat convoluted. Should just stick to ripping off Terminator with Ezekiel as the Terminator type character, Julie Carpenter as Kyle Reese type and May Parker as the Sarah Connor type.

Ezekiel being a villain, Madame Web being able to go back in time... This movie seems very comics inaccurate, but let's at least hope that it is good!

SPOILERS

I believe the plot for this film involves preventing Ezekiel from killing Richard and Mary, a fairly young couple who got married recently due to Mary falling pregnant. Ezekiel wants to stop the birth of their child. The mother, May, ends up giving birth in the ambulance chase scene. The big reveal being that the child is Peter Parker. Madame Web ends up defeating Ezekiel and fixes time so he's erased. She then becomes the overseer of the Sony multiverse ending with her classic look and in her classic chair noticing a disturbance in the multiverse (Implying that Madame Web and the Sony-universe could end up appearing in Secret Wars OR that the villain of Sinister Six will be a multiverse threat)

Ezekiel Simm meanwhile is somehow a variant of Peter Parker adapting Kaine Parker from the comics, looking like the below image:

https://qph.cf2.quoracdn.net/main-qimg-49ad49502fae738a5a9133e93c2fbccd-lq

In Venom 3, set 5 years after Madame Web, Venom will be looking for Peter Parker and stumble across a 5 year old Peter Parker. Eddie ends up becoming sorta a 'cool uncle' character to Peter and struggles with the notion that he's going to end up fighting Spider-man in the future as per Venom's multiverse understanding, all Venoms are destined to fight Spider-man to the death with one or both dying.

Eddie is effectively trying to break this notion in a really goofy way. He hopes that if he bonds with Peter then maybe he can changes things. He ends up looking after Peter while Richard and May are away. He takes him to science museum where Spiders ends up covering Peter, he tries to impart advice 'With great responsibility comes -chomps a guys head off- never-mind...' Generally through his actions he's mimicking parts of the origin story.

Venom 3 is supposedly ending with Richard and Mary stating that Peter is going to have to stay with Uncle Ben and Aunt May for a while as they have a business trip abroad, the implication that they'll die on this trip and Peter won't remember anything that happened with Eddie so he'll still have the origin with Uncle Ben later in his life.

"Please re-explain this shit 'cause I'm dumb as shit and need explaining to."

It's a typo. Richard is married to Mary.

Mary ends up giving birth in the back of the ambulance during the chase, at which point we learn their surname as they name the baby Peter Parker.
