I could do without Blue Christmas which I am sick of, but other than that it is a darn close to perfect album. A shade under Fresh Fish Special, but still a great one. Highlights: I Just Found Out, All by Myself, I Just Met a Memory and Walk On By. Chris Spedding, of course, just slays. RG is the way that most of us born after 1950 learned about rockabilly. God bless him.

I do rate gordon his vocals sound so right for rock and roll, and one of my favourite axe heroes chris spedding taking over from Link

Chris is from the why play 10 notes when 1 will do school !

excellent production play loud for maximum enjoyment you cannot sit still to this LP

saw them 2 years ago in a small club in Newcastle, in my top 20 gigs and thats over 40 years

Great voice. Great tunes. Robert Gordon is not a retro tribute. His was the real deal, some of these songs have never had such tasteful productions and rockin arrangements. Best music for a Saturday afternoon that I got.
Red hot crooning, with Chris Spedding on lead guitar.

Old R'n'R revisited by Robert Gordon is something great. You can own the original pieces and own Robert Gordon versions, no competition ! You got to have both of them. R. Gordon gives a great tribute to Johnny Burnette and Co, but he is not a mimic and sings us something new and wild. RG teamed with Chris Spedding gives something explosive.
This was in 1979, and time passing by doesn't make my passion for this record extinguished.
