Two suicidal teenagers, Conrad and Michelle, turn to each other for support, communicating via text messages. Bella Thorne is one of the worst "major" actors I've ever seen and this movie is some awful exploitative horsefuckery

I remember reading transcripts of Michelle’s texts with 4 of her friends and I am disappointed Lifetime only chose to show two of those friends. I distinctively remember reading something about a male friend who was trying to get with her, to whom she replied she had a suicidal boyfriend, another friend who she didn’t know well, to whom she wrote that she loves new friendships, and I guess the two that were pictured in this film. To some of them she wrote panicky messages about Conrad’s family trying to locate him and to others that he phoned her from the car and didn’t say anything. this was a complete mess. Thorne is cold and doesn’t show any emotion. the story isn’t honest and feels exploited. i’m glad it’s over and i don’t have to watch it again.
Im getting pumped for the 2-part HBO documentary about Conrad & Michelle that starts tomorrow, so I thought I’d check out this Lifetime movie on the same subject.
What a sad story, so damn tragic. Bella Thorne, one of my fav young starlets is excellent as Michelle Carter, you feel for her as well as understand what she did was wrong. Obvi this is Lifetime, part of the “based on a true story” rosterif movies they’re doing recently, so it’s for sure very tv-movie-ish, but it’s done well.
If you’re interested in this case I’d definitely recommend checking this out.
Déjenlo a los masters del exploitation, Lifetime, para dramatizar sin tacto una tragedia real. Solo para completistas de Bella Thorne como su servidor, supongo. Quizás es menos aburrida que la mayoría por que su afán de sintetizar años de historia en noventa minutos provoca que nunca tengamos tiempo de reunir nuestros pensamientos negativos. Ese es el mejor cumplido que puedo darle.
