The service was fast and good! I had the pulled duck burger and it was delicious. The location near the palace is very convenient for a Monday when the palace garden Cafe is closed.

Nice restaurant next to the palace. Our waitress, Daniella was great! Food was also very good. We had a salad, Wienerschnitzel and apple strudel.

Service was unkind, food was salty and six of eight persons had digesting trubbles. I have been in the restaurant five times before but now I was really dissapointed. Never again

This restaurant is perfect in the late spring and summer because of the terrific beer garden. Before leaves emerge, it's a great place to soak up sunshine. With leaves on the trees a nice shady place to eat lunch and rest. Children can play on the small play area, removed enough from the tables which won't disturb others. The menu is varied and portions can be split well for children. Skip the apple strudel. Reservations recommended for weekends or days with superb weather forecast.

At 16:00, with restaurant half empty, we were told that everything is reserved and there are no tables. The waiter told us to wait to be seated and 10 min later, while walking around us, came and told us that everything is booked. The whole attitude was awful.

It was a hot day, lunchtime. This is the perfect place for a cold beer and Bavarian food of high quality. Prices at lunchtime are reasonable. We had Schnitzel (I ordered a half portion which was sufficient), we started with ceviche, and enjoyed beef roulade. Impeccable service. The dining rooms look cosy, the food is probably more refined in the evenings. I think it has a Michelin mention. Recommended.

get day tickets for public transports - you can go anywhere, whenever you want, and see most of the city , with the TRAM !

After visiting the Schloß, we were slightly hungry. We found this place haphazardly and we’re glad we did. Excellent pumpkin soup and desserts, could even have done with dessert only. Greatly recommended!

On a rainy Friday afternoon we wanted to have an afternoon coffee and something to go with it. Not a big selection of cakes/tartes, but a fantastic 'Kaiserschmarren' we could share. We enjoyed it with our 'haferl' of coffee!

Dinner in the dark is NOT recommended.
In our group, someone with an allergy was served foor with the allergene (although we pointed it out several times!) and the vegetarian was served meat. The stories that were told for entertainment were about eating excrements and about erections. Not really the images I prefer to have in my head while enjoying dinner.
Very arrogant reactions to our complaints.
Very expensive, uncomfortable, frustrating experience.
Never go there.

We were really enjoying the food until we got to the dessert. It would have been nice if they had come with dessert menus, but we found them anyway. Eventually, they came to take our order. I ordered Apfelstrudel. Classic for the region being so close to Austria. I've eaten Apfelstrudel so many times, in so many places, and I love it. Not this one. No puff pastry here. Where it should have been there was some sort of what felt like a rolled out raw dough. I couldn't eat it. If that had been the issue though, I wouldn't have been writing this negative review. I told the waiter and he took it away. I was going to say nothing more about it. I wasn't even going to take issue over the bill. But when he came to take my money, he made a point of telling me he would have to charge for the Apfelstrudel. That got my back up and I asked to speak to the manager. He went away and told me that the manager had no time to speak to me. I said that I wouldn't pay for the Apfelstrudel then. He went away again and the manager found the time and came to see me. He was unapologetic but said that he wouldn't charge for the Apfelstrudel. Again, I wouldn't be writing this review if that had been it although I think a complaining customer being told the manager has no time is pretty bad. What really annoyed me is that the waiter then said that he wanted me to pay cash as that would make it easier for him. I told him I wanted to pay with a card and he had the cheek to say, full of sarcasm, he expected nothing less. That is not the way I expect to be treated in an expensive restaurant. In case you think there might have been something lost in translation, I am bilingual and only writing this in English to be more accessible to people.

We entered the place on a evening during the week. It was very warm, so everybody was sitting outside in the beergarten. I asked a waiter (the whole conversation took place in German) for a table for two, and he indicated the first one directly by the entrance of the buidling and close to the kitchen and the traffic of the other waiters. The garden was half empty, with several free tables. Since the table he gave us was in the loudest part of the garden and under a large umbrella preventing the warm air from circulating, I indicated a free one two rows away and asked if we could sit there instead. Other clients were sitting at tables further away (the one I wanted was, therefore, not the last served one in distance from the kitchen). The waiter shortly answered it was not possible. I checked if on my table there was the usual ticket with the word "reserved" and saw none. I asked the waiter if the table was booked and he just replied, indicating the one he had given to us, "this one or nothing!". No asnwer to my question nor any explanation. We opted for "nothing" and left.

We were tourists and came here for lunch during our visit to Schloss Nymphenburg. The beer garden was bustling as it was a warm, sunny day - we were led to a table inside as the outdoor seating area was full. Although we missed out on the sunshine outside, the relaxing ambience inside the restaurant made up for it. Menu in English is available on request. Our waiter was friendly and gave us some recommendations on drinks – we loved the passion fruit Schorle (fruit juice with sparkling water)! Our food arrived fairly quickly – it was delicious and the portions were generous! We loved the beetroot salad which was refreshing for a warm summer day. We would absolutely recommend this restaurant to our friends.

In short, a place with poor management and lack of service spirit from top.
We visited the restaurant yesterday and were lead from indoor to outdoor table to sit by ourselves. We picked a good spot, took seats and relaxed there.
After a while I saw the senior guy working there passing by with eye contact. I tried to be friendly by saying hi. To my total surprise, he gave me a poker face, and then started to lecture me by saying that I should wait for the waiter to come patiently instead of calling him proactively... then said something more that I couldn’t remember. Finally he said “this is the German way”.
I was shocked by his reaction at sight, of course, and later on totally puzzled by that “German way” statement. Over the past 3 weeks during our German vacation, we have never encountered such an abrupt and unprofessional attitude. In fact, many restaurants we went were warm and spectacular, even for the little ones in little towns. The senior guy looked to be the manager here. That surprised me the most.
The young waitress who later served us was really nice and professional though. She apologized for our long wait and did her best to make us feel comfortable. We actually admired the young gentlemen and ladies serving here, cuz you see their dedication to work.
Food is ok, but coming out slow. No English menu on table. If you want one, highly suggest to sit quietly and wait patiently till someone spot you and come. Then you ask for one nicely to avoid situation I was in. I gave this place 2 stars only because of the nice young lady serving us. Otherwise it would merely be a one star experience.
