Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- 790cherrylhMelbourne, Australia94 contributionsThe Boathouse has a superb atmosphere. We dined in the Conservatory and the outlook was beautiful. Our meals were delicious and service was spot on. Our only disappointments was the wine list that was a tad limited - no shiraz or cab sav. However there was a good varied selection of Pinot Noirs to enjoy.Written 10 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - shazzam61Bendigo, Australia27 contributionsI was interested to visit The Lyon House museum after seeing it on a TV show. Well it did not disappoint. The owner was so lovely whilst giving us a tour and explaining the concept and art works around the home. Very informative, absolutely amazing and well worth a visit if you ever get the chance. A family who have opened up their home to share their collection with others. Awesome.Written 3 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Brian MCrows Nest4 contributionsAn undiscovered gem, an atmospheric, charming ramshackle historic old villa with beautiful murals and decorations in various stages of decay / restoration. Tours of the interiors are led by enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteers once a month.
It reminded me of old villas in Italy with the layers of history telling a great story and letting your imagination run wild.Written 3 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We were a little early, not wanting to miss the action, and basically they all hang around doing very little. However, once the sun sets within around half an hour later they all start flying around, the noise and spectacular sight is something you don’t often see!Written 2 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jeffry bEssendon, Australia13,366 contributionsThe Outer Circle Linear Trail, also known as the Outer Circle Anniversary Trail, runs through Melbourne's Eastern Suburbs. The Outer Circle Trail follows the former Outer Circle Line. The line was intended to supplement Melbourne's radial train network. Unfortunately, due to lack of passenger patronage and the inability to secure the support of freight users, the Outer Circle Line became commercially unviable. Since the end of the Outer Circle Line, the linear park, which has become a popular hiker-biker trail. The trail is sealed, in concrete and bitumen. Along the way, there are many small parks, which often have BBQs. Water fountains can be found around every 2 kms (1 mile). The Outer Circle Line began operation in 1891, and the Trail has been upgraded regularly. Following the Outer Circle Trail is a good day out, it traverses Melbourne's prosperous Eastern Suburbs.Written 6 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jeffry bEssendon, Australia13,366 contributionsThe Kate Campbell Reserve is at the end of Kellett Grove. It's a bit tricky to find, as it is at the end of a two-level road, it's much bigger than it looks. The reserve has a children's playground, including a "Drovers Hut. It's a good place to walk the dog. The park has seat and a table.
