This sight is just breathtaking. The water surrounding it makes for some great photo opportunities, but it is so crowded that you'll definitely have to wait to get that beautiful photo. The trip to get to this location from our hotel in Osaka took a very long time due to an accident. It was still worth the delay and I'd certainly recommend it.

Visiting Kiyomizu-dera Temple with friends in March was an unforgettable experience! The temple is absolutely stunning, perched on the hillside with breathtaking views of Kyoto. The cherry blossoms were just starting to bloom, adding a magical touch to the already picturesque scenery.

We spent hours exploring the temple grounds, marveling at the intricate architecture and the serene atmosphere. The wooden stage that juts out from the main hall provides a panoramic view of the city and the surrounding mountains—it's truly a sight to behold.

The Otowa Waterfall, where you can drink from streams of water that are said to grant health, longevity, and success in studies, was a fun and refreshing stop. We also enjoyed browsing the little shops along the way to the temple, filled with unique souvenirs and tasty snacks.

The whole experience was enriched by the friendly and welcoming locals, and the peaceful, spiritual ambiance of the temple made it a perfect spot for reflection and bonding with friends. I highly recommend visiting Kiyomizu-dera Temple if you're in Kyoto, especially in March when the cherry blossoms add an extra layer of beauty to this historic site.

Beautiful National Garden in the center of Shinjuku. Great to provide shade on a warm sunny day. Worth spending at least an hour in it

The temple's vibes are so zen, and the Nakamise street nearby is perfect for grabbing some cool souvenirs. Yeah, it gets crowded, but that just adds to the atmosphere. Totally recommend for a taste of Tokyo's chill side

Such a huge building and when you go inside you can see why it needed to be so big, it is amazing. It was a very busy day with lots of school groups and people everywhere so we just took our time and made our way through the temple.

Big Shrine complex in the middle of the city. Feels like it is somewhere else, in the past. Beautiful and calm. Must visit when in Tokyo

Maintained in its original shape to remind the world of the horrors of war, the Atomic Bomb Dome at Hiroshima, is physically well-maintained and located in nice environs but conceptually creates poignant feelings in oneself.

We really enjoyed our day on the island. Bests me why anyone would bother messing around with trains when the ferry from the Peace Park is so scenic and convenient - it was part of the fun! The gondola up and the views from Mt Misen were breathtakingly beautiful, and the hike down too but definitely not for anyone not in good physical shape as it’s pretty uneven with some deep level changes. I actually think it would have been easier to hike up (if your fitness is good) than down. We spent 6 hours which was enough to see the shrine, do the above and have lunch and a wander round the very touristy village.

We took the Kintetsu Limited Express train from Kyoto and getting there and back was a breeze. Followed a very helpful half day itinerary we found on Inside Kyoto, so we got to see the highlights without wasting time on a very humid day. The best part was Isuien Gardens, one of Japan’s finest, where we had the very special experience of eating lunch in a tea house with the most stunning view. Toilets and refreshments widely available in the park and signage is good. The deer stink and people should not be feeding them. Having both been really sick with Lyme Disease caught from ticks, it made us shudder seeing people pet them. Just don’t!

One of the most sought-after visitor experiences in Kyoto, Arashiyama is teeming with tourists & long lines of bamboo groves, with a surfeit of spots for clicks / views / selfies.

This was our first time in Tokyo and Asakusa! We've got to see traditional craft shops and street-food stalls along Nakamise Street near the ancient Sensō-ji temple. Was amazing! Asakusa is one of our favorite place.

A green lung located near the Ameyayakocho shopping area, Ueno Park is huge! A great spot for views, clicks, selfies, people watching & relaxation.

We came here from Yaedake Sakuranomori Park at the end of January 2024.
We paid Y 3,300 for 2 adults and a kid.
The Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium was located in a huge area. We did not like the dolphin show. It was very disappointing but the rest of the place was very interesting.

This park has been created as a place of reflection and it is just that. We enjoyed strolling through and taking in the feeling that this park holds and what it means.and represents. A very moving place to visit.

We could only view it from the outside since it was shut by the time we reached there. The cafeteria, apart from offering eats and beverages, also gives you a glimpse into Japanese lifestyles via the paintings & artefacts placed there.
