Getting Ready for Amazon Drone Delivery

Find more information about preparing for Amazon drone delivery. Note: We're offering drone delivery in College Station, Texas, U.S. To learn more, visit About Amazon Drone Delivery.

If living in an eligible single-family residence:

Ensure that your marker is placed in the designated delivery location, identified during your survey appointment. Keep grass in the delivery area sufficiently trimmed. All people, pets, and objects must be at least 5 meters (17 feet) away from the QR code delivery marker while expecting a drone delivery.

If living in an eligible apartment building: Once you’ve received the notification of your delivered item, make your way to the apartment building’s drone delivery area. Use your gate access code previously provided to you to enter the fenced area, retrieve your package, exit, and close the gate behind you. Find more information about preparing for drone delivery at the eligible apartment here.

Important Reminders:

  • Delivery Marker: If your delivery marker has been misplaced or the delivery location identified during your survey was forgotten, please contact us at (888) 283-0587 to place a new permanent marker at the delivery location. (If you place your marker in the wrong place, the drone will not deliver your package.)
  • Delivery Area: Keep grass in the area short to avoid tall grass covering the delivery marker. Don’t allow people, pets, or objects within a 5-meter (17-foot) radius of the delivery marker when expecting a delivery by drone.
  • Orders: Drone delivery is currently limited to one item per order. You can place as many orders as you want, all with no delivery fee, but just remember to pick up your package after every delivery. (The drone will not deliver a second package if a prior package is sitting on the delivery marker.)
  • Availability: Drone delivery isn’t available during rainstorms, strong winds, extreme heat events, and other unfavorable weather.
