- Yap MFreiburg im Breisgau, Germany56 contributionsA vast scenic place for taking photos and people watching. There are many stores and activities along the lake too. You can hop-on/ off a buggy if you wish to cover the area more. Yes, it will costs you a few yuan depending where you hop-on and hop-off ( speak to the driver).
We ride the buggy to Leifeng Pagoda and take the escalator to the entrance. And you can take a lift or climb the stairs to the top level of the pagoda to enjoy the view. Space is narrow and lots of people, so do take care of personal effects.Written 4 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Walk through into park then go to ticket office inside park for ticket to temple (again show your passport). It is amazing, loved it all, make sure you go to the house of the 500 Buddha's.
By the time I left around 10.30 there were huge crowds outside, so am very pleased I went early.Written 4 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. You can walk along a path right under them, or take a stroll on the larger road which is set back further to really see the scale and multiplicity of carved statues there. This is on the way to the temple, after the selection of shops at the entrance. Get there early whilst it is quieter, in the afternoon is became very busy!Written 5 March 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mike COrmond Beach, FL2,597 contributionsTake a stroll in this area of West Lake if you want to enjoy the scenery near the waterway and gardens. So peaceful and expansive enough for a little more privacy versus the heavily trafficked area with large tourist crowds.Written 23 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Javiz AHong Kong, China270 contributionsThis October, me and my wife travel to Hangzhou, and we visit the Xixi Wetland Park. since this was our first time and in Hangzhou we want to explore the maximum during our short trip.
The Xixi Wetland Park is very nice and big that we will not be able to discover the whole park, so we did a bit of hiking in the park for about 8km and the rest of the time we take boat ride to different location and and explore and take the boat to next destination.
it was very interesting and I loved the whole experience, since I love the nature.
The most interesting for me was that the locals come around me and taking photo of me without even asking :) every time I only find that some one just take photo right infant of my face.
Seems the local have not seen someone like me...
Once I comment in local language they get surprise and my wife also comment and she is not local but she is from HKG city so that she can speak the same language.Written 21 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Compare the pagodas to the picture on the 1 Yuan banknote but can't get it to line up correctly

- Stephen CSingapore, Singapore1,125 contributionsThis is another one of the Top 10 scenic sights in West Lake. It is located on the south side of the lake.
This was once a private residence and I believe it got its name after the red kois in the pond. There are also plenty of lotus flowers and peonies within the garden that offers free admission.Written 31 July 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The area is an endless maze of cool streets with restaurants and shops that each provide an interesting element of Chinese culture. It’s a great deviation from West Lake.Written 24 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Stephen CSingapore, Singapore1,125 contributionsThis is a theme park based on the Song Dynasty. There's a mini water adventure park for kids. There are also multiple halls screening different shows.
The main attraction is the Song City – Thousand Years of Romance. The park is also littered with stores selling food and beverage, and gifts.
The cast will be dressed in period costume and may mingle with the crowd to create a sense of traveling back in time to the Song Dynasty.Written 2 August 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It's interesting and very well curated in Chinese and English, with only one temporary gallery missing any explanations in English. I had a great wander round on a damp Monday. Particuarly enjoyed the fashion exhibitions and the current temporary exhibition on Asian national dress.
Points to note: it's free. I did not book, indeed I couldn't work out how to despite a recent review saying you had to. Foreign visitors must leave their passport number and a phone number at the security desk at the entrance. It also opens only at midday on Mondays.
I had lunch at the café, which was nice if not especially cheap. There's a great bookshop and giftshop.
I got there by catching the #12 bus from where Hefang St intersects with the street running alongside West Lake. Coming back I got the #42, which runs the same route. (And I got the #7 metro to/from Wushan Sq).Written 10 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
