Mike Yarish / Netflix

All good things must come to end, and that includes the lovable family show, Fuller House. That's right, the reboot of the '90s classic Full House is returning to Netflix for its fifth and final season, but saying farewell to the iconic sitcom hasn't been easy for the show's stars, specifically Candace CameronBure.

“It was so much harder the second time to say goodbye,” the actress told TODAY’s Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager during a recent interview. The spinoff first premiered in 2016 after Full House aired its final episode in 1995. “I’ll miss it so much but you know, the friendships are never over. We’ll see and talk [to each other] all the time, just not all in the same place.”

Now, with the cast about to take their final bow, read on for everything you need to know about Fuller House season 5—including cast details, spoilers and how to watch!

When will the Fuller House final episodes be released?

Season 5, also referred to as "The Farewell Season" dropped on Netflix Dec. 6. But that was only the first half of the season. It was just announced that the final episodes will drop June 2. "Oh My Lanta!! The moment we’ve all been waiting for," Cameron Bure teased on Instagram. "NEW & FINAL EPISODES OF @fullerhouse premiere on June 2nd only on @netflix...I know you guys are going to love these final episodes as much as we all loved making them."

Who is in the Fuller House cast for season 5?

Cameron Bure will be reprising her role as D.J. Tanner-Fuller along with costars Jodie Sweetin as Stephanie Tanner, Andrea Barber as Kimmy Gibbler, Juan Pablo Di Pace as Fernando, Soni Nicole Bringas as Ramona, Michael Campion as Jackson, Elias Harger as Max, Dashiell and Fox Messitt as Tommy, Adam Hagenbuch as Jimmy Gibbler, Scott Weinger as Steve Hale, John Brotherton as Matt Harmon and Ashley Liao as Lola.

Original Full House cast members—including Bob SagetJohn Stamos and Dave Coulier—will also be making appearances throughout the final season.

What happened in Fuller House season 4?

In season 4, Kimmy Gibbler (Barber) serves as a surrogate for Stephanie Tanner (Sweetin), who is unable to conceive naturally. The season concludes with Kimmy giving birth and her brother Jimmy (Hagenbuch), proposing marriage to Stephanie.

"Kimmy is so happy that she’s finally an important part of Stephanie’s life," Barber previously told Glamour. "She’s been rejected by Stephanie for many years; now these characters are bonding in a way they’ve never been able to before. Kimmy doesn’t want to let go of that. [She doesn't want] to feel like an incubator. She wants to feel more important than that, which I think is pretty valid.”

What will happen in Fuller House season 5 and are there any spoilers?

Season 5 will kick off with newly engaged couple Stephanie and Jimmy returning from the hospital with their baby and adjusting to their new lives as parents. They initially have trouble landing on a baby name, hence the title of the first episode, "Welcome Home, Baby to Be Named Later." But parenthood isn't exactly smooth sailing for the couple, as Stephanie struggles with the stress of motherhood while Jimmy is traveling.

"Jimmy's always off on the road and I feel like I'm doing this all alone," she says in the trailer.

But Stephanie and Jimmy may not be the only couple facing a major milestone. Back in September, Cameron Bure shared a behind the scenes photo on set which lead fans to believe that Kimmy could be tying the knot this season. In the photo, Stephanie and D.J. are seen dressed in brightly colored ruffled dresses alongside Kimmy's longterm love interest, Fernando (Di Pace). In the background of the photo, you can see a wedding dress propped on a mannequin.

“Well it’s CLEARLY Kimmy’s wedding and DJ and Steph are her maid of honor/bridesmaid. I mean you have to look at the dresses once and think Kimmy,” one fan noted, while another added, “It must be Kimmy’s wedding… We don’t have to even guess after looking at the dresses.”

Considering episode 11 of the upcoming season is titled "Three Weddings and a Musical," there might be some legitimacy to this fan theory! But who would be the third wedding be for? Well, according to the trailer, it seems as though D.J. and Steve may take their relationship to the next level. "You wanna marry Steve!" Kimmy is heard saying in the clip to D.J.

Was Fuller House canceled?

Based on the emotional Instagram posts shared by the cast after the taping of the final episode, it's clear the stars of the show weren't ready to say goodbye to the series. So why is Fuller House ending? While Netflix hasn't released an official statement about the cancellation, there's a good chance the lack of viewership had a lot to do with season 5 being the final installment. Despite its initial popularity in season 1, viewership has since taken a nosedive, dropping 52 percent from the first to second season, according to Business Insider. That paired with the legal drama surrounding former cast member Lori Loughlin could have resulted in a cancellation.

Where is Aunt Becky/Lori Loughlin?

Fans will not be seeing the lovable Aunt Becky on the fifth and final season, as Loughlin was dropped from the series after news of her involvement with the college admissions bribery scandal spread earlier this year. She and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli allegedly paid a $500,000 bribe to have their two daughters, Olivia and Isabella, fraudulently admitted to the University of Southern California as members of the school’s rowing team. As a result, Loughlin was not only written out of the final season of Fuller House, but also dropped from Hallmark's When Calls the Heart, where she played a series regular.

In the 15th episode of the final season, Jesse is trying to figure out who bit Pamela, the young daughter he and Becky adopted. His plan is to teach Pamela to bite the perpetrator back. But he asks DJ for advice.

"You don't think that maybe you should run this by Aunt Becky?" DJ asks.

“Aunt Becky is in Nebraska, helping out her mother," Jesse responds. "I don’t want to bother her with such a tiny little thing like this.”

How many episodes will there be in season 5?

According to IMDB, 18 episodes will be released for the final season, with titles including "Family Business" and "The Nearlywed Game." The final episode of the series is cleverly titled, "Our Very Last Show, Again."

How to watch and stream Fuller House?

All five seasons of Fuller House will be available for streaming on Netflix come Dec. 6. Fans can also purchase older seasons and/or specific episodes on YouTube, Amazon Prime, Google Play or Vudu. Fuller House will not be airing on cable, so be sure to get your streaming platform ready!
