Persona Non Grata

Persona Non Grata is the eleventh studio album by American thrash metal band Exodus. It is the second Exodus album to feature vocalist Steve “Zetro” Souza since he returned to the band in 2014. The album also features a guest appearance from former Exodus guitarist Rick Hunolt.

The plans for a new album were made as early as 2016, and work on the album had been slowed down due to Gary Holt’s commitments with Slayer. The band began recording sessions of this album in October 2020. Persona Non Grata was initially set for release in the summer of 2021, but it was pushed back to November, due to drummer Tom Hunting’s diagnosis with squamous cell carcinoma of the stomach.

On August 20th, 2021, the band released the album’s lead single “The Beatings Will Continue (Until Morale Improves)” through streaming services. “Clickbait” and “The Years of Death and Dying” were the other singles from this album.
