Reviews
- My copy sounds clean. No noise or pops. The vinyl splatter looks great. My complaint is the basic b&w cover and b&w labels (cheap!) and lack of any sort of insert. Some liner notes would be nice. Songs do sound great though.
- Showed up a little after opening time to try and get this release. I didn't get it, hell I'm never on time for my job which pays for the luxury of living indoors and being able to eat food.
Shame on me and now I either have to pay predatory prices or do without this essential release.
"Shot by both sides" - Lots of pops and noise on this. Not enough to ruin it, certainly, but a proper pressing on black would be so much nicer than this subpar colour vinyl gimmickry. Please stop making records for people who should be collecting fidget spinners or something.
- The splatter is beautiful and the sound quality is very nice, especially considering the only other LP with these demos sounds like shit. The only downside is this LP is pretty noisy. Even after cleaning, there was still this constant pop after "I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend" along with a bunch of other places with crackles.
- I am just going down the Ramones rabbit hole for the first time and this is a lot of fun to listen to. Overall it sounds like a group of demos that are pretty well mastered to vinyl. My copy is super quiet and flat; detail can vary between tracks but my guess is different sources (?). Overall sq is solid and many tracks are quite dynamic...very cool to hear the origins of their near studio ready sound.
- Edited one month agoAfter being hugely disappointed with this release due to its incompleteness, can someone please suggest the best sounding bootleg LPs/EPs which contain ALL of the tracks from this legendary demo? Also, is there a bootleg with a complete version of "I Don't Wanna Go Down to the Basement"? Still cannot hide my frustration about such a missed opportunity to have this masterpiece released officially in its entirety...
