EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – The signings continue for SIUE men's basketball. Head Coach Brian Barone has announced the addition of transfer Jordan Hamilton (Memphis, Tennessee) to his roster for the 2024-25 season.

"Coach B and the staff really made me feel wanted and showed my family and me a warm embrace," Hamilton said. "The family atmosphere here was the biggest factor in my decision. Winning basketball, building camaraderie, and forming memories are all things I can obtain while at SIUE."

Hamilton, a 6-foot, 6-inch guard, played the 2023-24 season at the College of Southern Idaho, where he appeared in 30 games and made four starts. He averaged 8.5 points and 4.1 rebounds per game. He knocked down 57-79 (72 percent) of his free throws and 36 percent (25-70) of his three-point attempts.

"Jordan Hamilton's signing is another positive piece for our team, adding a scoring threat and shooting to our roster," Barone said. "Jordan's proficiency on both ends of the court enhances our team's overall Versatility, providing a well-rounded presence. We're looking forward to seeing Jordan's impact on our team's success as he brings his multifaceted skills to the court."

Prior to playing at Southern Idaho, Hamilton played at Three Rivers Community College in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, where he scored 12.8 points per game. He added 5.6 rebounds a game and connected on 78.5 percent of his free throws.

Thomas is the sixth member of Barone's 2024 recruiting class. He joins Cham Okey, JaMir Price, Ring Malith, Myles Thompson and Kyle Thomas who were previously announced.

SIUE finished the 2023-24 season at 17-16 overall, marking consecutive winning seasons for the first time since transitioning to Division I.
