Jessica moves back home after college and finds her single mother, Tracy, has a new boyfriend, Paul, moving in as well. While working at a restaurant owned by her mother's best friend, Sandra, Jessica sees Paul fighting with another woman and immediately enlists the help Sandra and Hal who suspect something very strange. When Jessica discovers Paul is not who he seems, she sets out to prove Paul is the wrong Mr. Right.

the financial abuse stuff isnt really interesting to me personally but wait til u see what the wrong mr right does to ERIC ROBERTS!!!! spoiler it's barely anything and only for like ten seconds but eric showed up! this is filmed in one of the post-1313 houses but its been renovated a little bit. i would know that curvy staircase anywhere!
I’m gonna need Vivica A. Fox to use the movie’s title in a sentence in every single thing I watch from now on, or I will not consider it a real movie.
Auntie Viv is at her sassiest (she says the title!), Eric Roberts gets chloroformed, and Dominque Swain just rolled out of her bed for her scenes. That basketball game was the weirdest thing, second only to this dude refusing to hide his giant box of sketchy evidence.
Why did Paul keep an unlocked box full of evidence of his crimes just sitting out in an office for literally everyone to find? Amazing. Also, the Photoshop work on the pictures of Paul with his past wives was fucking phenomenal.

Eric Roberts shows up as a private investigator in this one! But not for very long unfortunately. Another right down the middle WRONG movie otherwise. Great example of Vivica saving the day and saying the line you want her to say, though. There's a whole thing about a boyfriend trying to get there in time and Vivica just steamrolls over him haha it's great.
Those of you that enjoyed how ridiculous, over the top, yet generic this Lifetime movie is will be pleased to know that there have been 25, yes TWENTY-FIVE, other films produced in “The Wrong” Lifetime Cinematic Universe since 2015. Get ready for more redundant Vivica A. Fox characters baby!

fun, standard lifetime stuff. decoteau still leaves some personal touches like the hunky, shirtless basketball game plopped in the middle of the movie and appearances from vivica a. fox & eric roberts. vivica even shows up at the end to say the title of the movie. “looks like you found THE WRONG MR. RIGHT!”
There isn’t a rush quite like Vivica’s CarShield ads playing during a Vivica movie’s commercial breaks. These had her saying things like “Listen to your auntie Vivica!” and “Tell them Viv from Indy sent ya!” She’ll accept and commit to any job, and that’s what makes her the busiest woman in Hollywood!
And let’s hope she always finds time in her schedule for a Wrong movie. The Wrong Mr. Right may be among the more average in the whole series, but it does still feature absurd & delightful moments like:
*Vivica dropping the title and mocking her supposed friends after saving their lives, all without bothering to untie them or even making sure they’re truly okay
*Stock footage of a woman…
