Synopsis
A happy marriage turns sour when the husband becomes addicted to cocaine.
1985 Directed by Thomas J. Wright
A happy marriage turns sour when the husband becomes addicted to cocaine.
Steve Railsback plays a man who turns to freebasing cocaine the second there's tension in his marriage. Ian McShane plays a very, very, very moist drug dealer.
I really enjoying the scenes where Jake is smoking weed, freebasing cocaine, smoking crack and getting yelled at about his wife who is obviously going to leave him if he continues to smoke crack.
This movie is about a married couple presented with an unusual challenge.
The husband gets addicted to crack and their marriage falls apart.
That's literally all this movie is about.
Someone on the production team decided that's all the movie /needed/ to be about. I went into this movie on just those terms alone and... talk about execution!
A young couple moves in with each and gets begins to settle into the marriage lifestyle. When Jake starts to freebase cocaine, their marriage falls apart. It's another one of those lost 80s movies that you can only really get a sense for watching on LaserDisc, which I did, and I laughed my ass off the entire time.
