Mark Zuckerberg turns 40: From Harvard dorm to favourite Pizzeria, wife Priscilla recreates his early life in photos

The highlight of the post was undoubtedly the recreation of his iconic Harvard dorm, the very place where the idea of Facebook was born. In one of the recreated photos, Mark Zuckerberg can be seen posing with none other than Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, evoking waves of nostalgia among tech enthusiasts.

But, the trip down memory lane didn’t end there. Zuckerberg treated his followers to snapshots of his first apartment, complete with a humble setup featuring a mattress on the floor. From his lockdown office setup, where Mark Zuckerberg navigated the challenges of the pandemic, to his favorite college haunt Pinocchio’s Pizzeria, every image offered a glimpse into the life of one of Silicon Valley’s most influential figures.

In the last slide of the carousel post Zuckerberg made is a video showing his friends, including Hollywood actor Vin Diesel, talking about him.

His post ended with, “Here’s to the next 40!” Social media users also wished him in the comments, “YOU GOING FULL GEN Z HOTBOY WAS NOT ON MY 2024 BINGO CARD AND IT’S FUCKING SICK, HAPPY BIRTHDAY DUDE.” Another user wrote, “ I watched “The Social Network” earlier this week and i think you need another movie to make things right !” A third user commented, “What a way to ring in 40! Happy birthday Mark!!!”

Every image offered a glimpse into the life of one of Silicon Valley’s most influential figures.

“Allowed to throw a bash”: Priscilla Chan

Chan shared her own collection of photos on her Instagram profile. Her caption said, “Mark doesn’t usually let me go big for his birthday but for his 40th I was allowed to throw a bash as long our friends and family also roasted him. We all had a blast! Let’s just say that no one suffered from a lack of material!”
