How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

This is one of the most beautiful soundtracks. The nostalgia I feel listening to the slow waltz that is the main theme for this miniseries is indescribable. I believe in the preservation of heritage, not the destruction of our history and all that we can learn from it. But, aside from the culture wars that would make this miniseries impossible to produce in today's polarized environment, the series tells the story of a Confederate Civil War veteran with PTSD before medicine had a name for it. Told through the experience of a teenage bride who married a Civil War veteran 3x her age, and tells of how her husband's PTSD took the form of his obsession with the death by sniper fire of his childhood friend and fellow enlistee, Ned, who is never thereafter far from his thoughts and the triggering emotional trauma from combat. Lucille (Diane Lane) grows into herself over the decades, becoming more assertive in her beliefs and actions, all of which stem from reliving the violence of war through her husband's mental illness. Mark Snow composed a beautiful score for this production. I recommend this series and this excellent CD.
