Biography
After adding several more members, the band had a string of very successful albums and singles in the 1970's. In 1980, brothers Jeffrey Osborne and Billy Osborne left the ensemble to pursue solo careers, and they were replaced on lead vocals by former New Birth member Leslie Wilson and Andre Ray. Several more albums followed, until the group disbanded in 1983 to allow members to focus on other projects.
In 1996 original member Abraham "Onion" Miller and Johnny McGhee reformed the band with new members. Both left the reformed group a few years later, leaving the new members to carry on as L.T.D. They released the album Marry You before original members Carnegie and Vickers, along with McGhee filed a lawsuit and acquired the rights and ownership of the name L.T.D. in 1999. They added their own new members, resumed touring and released the album Bringing It Home in 2007.
