Located on Spring St, opposite the Treasury Gardens, between Collins St and Flinders Lane, there emerges a truly unique space – imagined, created, curated – that lies at the nexus of all the Di Stasio energies that have come before it. Cittá is a culmination of sorts, a vibrant dynamic next step along a continuum of a challenge and of notions Rinaldo has been grappling with all his life. This is not only a commercial venture – though of course, he has never retreated from this aspect – but is also a vehicle to express and bring together all the aspects of Italo-Australian history, culture, place and heritage.     The food was mostly good, though not great. The service was quite poor - our waiter was mostly inattentive, did not inspire confidence when discussing gluten free menu options with one of our guests, and disappeared for long stretches during our time there.

    My first visit to the city restaurant & it did not disappoint. The menu is broad & well supported by specials of the day. Our food (3 of us) was excellent & our waitress delivered a really high standard of service. All the dishes were well presented and were of a high standard

    It was nice but far from a memorable meal. Service was a high standard & what I expected for a reputable restaurant. Great cocktail to start and the arancini were the best I've had. My husband enjoyed the duck, though the dish was quite small. I had the crab capellini pasta which was lacking flavour other than chilli, crab was overwhelmed and it needed more seasoning. Side rocket salad sadly just dressed rocket leaves, nothing else, $14, disappointing. Desserts where average, mousse rich but no presentation and affogato was better than most, loved the house liqueur blend. On the quirky 'live art' installation - novel for about 30 mins then rather monotonous/annoying - need to add in more variety.

    Food was simply outstanding and wine prices on the reasonable side. Service also outstanding and old school Italian vibe a nice touch.

    The biggest rip off! I ordered Scallopine and was served 3 tiny slices of meat with absolutely nothing else on the plate. For a 2 course meal at $90 a head it was a joke. We ordered 2 bottles of plain non sparkling water and were charged $30!! The whole meal we were being hurried as we had a 2 hour booking from 6pm. Never again

    Not good. Tiny portions. Almost an insult. For example slicing ONE scallop into 3 slices and putting each slither into 3 half shells and calling it an entree!! My husband's Saltinbocca was so small he had to eat again back at the hotel! Flavors fine but not exceptional. Service erratic, atmosphere disjointed and cold feeling. 2 chefs hats? Yet another example of the Age Good Food Guide being totally off the mark these days.
