The seafood was not fresh. The bread tasted like they had saved it from last Sundays brunch and they gave themselves $100 tip on a table of four without even telling us that they were doing so we will not be back.

We had an amazing time at balboa bay resort’s seafood brunch. The ambience is incredible, the ocean view is gorgeous! The food was great, there were many options and everything tasted amazing. What truly set this place apart was the staff. I can’t say enough good things, starting with the greeting from the hostess she was great! Very welcoming, then we had Ricardo, Bertha, and Maricella, and I believe it was Carmela they took the best care of us with the most cheerful smiles. They truly made the experience special!

The service was amazing we were greeted by Cathy, with a warm smile even though we were running a little late. Once inside our server Rey was so attentive and kind. The whole staff was friendly and professional. The food was delicious. I will be back.

Such a wonderful brunch with the girls. We loved the ambiance and delicious variety of seafood. The unlimited mimosa made the day so fun and the service was great. You can beat the view and value for this amazing brunch!

I so enjoy Sunday brunch at the Balboa Bay Club and Resort. First we are greeted by Randy, or his staff, when we drive up to the valet. Then when we finally reach the restaurant Kathy greets us and takes us to our table. She's so gracious and really helps kick off the brunch. This week we were served by Jose, Victor and Gabby. Such a wonderful crew and always there to check on us, clear our plate, provide refills on the drinks and whatever else we might need (this weekend Jose moved the heater over to our table as it was very cool and windy. Once we were settled each of us visited Jorge at the omelet station (he makes the best huevos rancheros!) ad Jenny carved out the roast beef and the rack of lamb, delicious. All the food is exceptional as is the presentation. There are so many who do their jobs quietly and refill the food stations and straighten and clean them...they keep the place very nice for the clients. it's such a treat to go to Sunday brunch at the Balboa Bay Club. The best brunch in town!!!!.

Overall it was a great experience celebrating our Mom’s 85th birthday. It took a while to replenish the sashimi tray after the first serving and the oysters. Some of the dishes like the breakfast burritos seem to have been out for a while. All in all we were happy with the service and food quality.

The Balboa Bay Club and Resort has the best brunch experience in town. It starts with Randy , who manages the valet service, he is considerate of your needs and you know he will take great car of your car. When you get to the Lighthouse Kathy greats you warmly and always does the best job in seating you in just the right spot. She's like a good friend inviting you into her home. Luis, Rene and the other wait staff are very courteous and professional and are quick to help you in every way they can. Oscar makes the best huevos in town and also creates just the right omelet. Overall the food is delicious, the staff is wonderful and the experience keeps me coming back over and over again. It' would ber hard to find a better brunch in Newport Beach.

Food was good quality but for $100 plus a $25 service fee, the selection especially of seafood wasn’t great. At most it was worth $60.

Balboa Bay Club Resort has the best brunch in town. We were there for my mother’s 97th birthday, BBC did not disappoint. The celebration was wonderful. It has gotten much more expensive over the last few months, so I will not be able to enjoy it as often as I had previously…but it IS a wonderful time.

The food was wonderful. This staff was exceptionally helpful. However, I do have to say that it is rather pricey. I didn't especially like the fact that you're charged 25% gratuity automatically. It should be up to the discretion of the payer how much to tipWeek. We sat inside with all the Buffay tables all around the restaurant. I noticed there wasn't any type of egg station. Later found out the egg station was outside on the patio. It would have been nice if we had been told that there were stations outside

You get what you pay for. But compared to the buffet at the queen Mary which is $25 cheaper, it’s the same experience.

The views were breath taking but the food was all stale and old tasting … at $105 I was expecting a lot better quality of food and more of a variety - for mostly it being cheese and meat and sweets - hardly any breakfast food. The employees were great and views were amazing but the food was disgusting and it’s hard to rate more than what I gave as the price for good employees and views wouldn’t justify that.

The waiters and waitresses is what made the experience. They are the backbone to this hotel. Overall experience was not good with the hotel but the bartender and wait staff was amazing. The food was done well do the brunch. I’d suggest a butter for the lobsters and shrimp. Seafood is a huge part and it could have been elevated. The meat and dessert was delicious.

Excellent Ahi, crab claws, lamb. Not too happy with them automatically adding on their own 25% service charge instead of you tipping the amount you think they deserve.

The view is the highlight. Food was ok, service was ok, and they charged 25% gratuity for sub par service. Need to leave that for guests discretion. Considering it’s help yourself and you get your own drinks, it’s a bit much. Salads were soggy, seafood was ok, carving table was good, but very so so for the price. I have told people not worth it.

Overall good experience. Sushi was terrible per usual. Dessert is awesome. Prime rib is excellent and so is the lamb. All the breakfast items are good. Great service.

Absolutely love this place for the best brunch ever! The food was amazing, super fresh and incredibly delicious. The environment is absolutely beautiful and the service was great! I’m totally spoiled now with buffet food, nothing can compare to this superb spread! Definitely worth the price and definitely a repeat! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🤩

The food was really good but the service was bad. For $105 per person, I expected way more. No one offered us water, the "server" said he couldn't bring us mimosas because of some rule. We were barely checked on. Then they have the nerve to add a service charge when there was no service; we did everything ourselves. I was tempted to demand it be removed but we went ahead and paid but didn't leave any extra though they had a tip line still. I wouldn't return at those prices with bad service.

Service was above and beyond perfection. Food was good but expected a higher quality in some of the food that was offered. There was not a great variety of seafood or at least it was not available very quickly when it ran out. But beautiful location. I would recommend.
