I fell in love with this restaurant from at my very first visit. It's now my "go to" venue if I fancy a meal out. The staff are friendly and accommodating and the menu is varied. I've yet to try the pizza; I usually go...for the "specials" or a meat/fish dish from the á la carte menu, however the pizza's I've seen look very appetising. The house red wine is the best I've tasted anywhere in the UK for such a low price. Weekends are busy so I advise that you book beforehand, preferably 24 hours in advance. Although I've eaten here several times, this is my first review. I did plan to take photo's of the food, but it looked so appealing when it was set before me that you'll have to make do with photo's the empty plates (sorry).More

We have used this restaurant for the last 15 or more years, it never fails to deliver on customer service and the food. We moved out of the area and visited for the first time in 2.5 years, we received the same friendly welcome as...always. Management and staff are always polite and friendly. A previous review pooh poohed the restaurants attempts to seperate the customers during this pandemic. We sat next to the screens that seperated the tables, they were neither dirty nor fell over everytime people moved or walked passed. I for one, will be returning very soon for another of their wonderfull rissotto dishes, or shall I have the spicey beef pizza or the fish...support your local restaurants at this time, dont critisise them...More

Organised a get-together for six of whom only one didn't have either significant dietary challenges or mobility issues. All sorted out in advance by email. Made to feel very welcome on arrival. Food absolutely delicious and can draw special attention to the lamb rump, liver,...chicken and cod - as well as the tiramisu which we fortunately left space for. Great atmosphere and excellent value for money too so we will very definitely be back.More

Ate as a family of 4 early afternoon on a Saturday. We haven’t been in a long time but previously this was our go to restaurant before lockdowns etc. Can really notice that it’s gone down hill, it is looking tired and lost its sparkle...unfortunately. Food below average. Ordered Calzone pizza which was awful. Parmesan just gets spooned out a stainless catering dish instead previously being freshly grated. Men’s toilets need addressing, not clean and leak from urinal on to the floor. Hope they turn it around 🤞More

I usually enjoy an evening out at Piaza Firenze, unfortunately this evening was the exception. This visit was unnerving to say the least given the current pandemic. The restaurant was busy when we arrived, but not so much that we didn’t comfortable. By the time...we left every table was in use, including ones that originally had tape on them, we assumed as a sign that they shouldn’t be used. Throughout our meal the only thing dividing us from our neighbours was a stand with a flimsy cardboard framed piece of clear plastic, which was filthy & got knocked out of position every time someone at the next table got up. In short completely inadequate. The staff were all wearing masks or visors, however, I use the term wearing loosely. I appreciate that it was very hot & undoubtedly uncomfortable, but one staff member approached our table with only their mouth covered & nose exposed. We witnessed another lift his visor to speak to the couple at the next table thus completely defeating the object of wearing it. Another had his mask under his chin for the duration of our visit. When we were served our drinks I had to return my glass as it still had somebody’s lipstick around the rim. Bad enough on a normal day, but in the current climate indicates that things are not being cleaned or checked as thoroughly as they should be. The food, which is normally amazing was not up to the usual standard either. The seafood in the risotto & pasta dishes was over cooked & tough, & the lasagne was dry. We all left around a third of our meals. Usually we would have stayed for a couple of drinks & maybe a dessert, but due to the general air of chaos & our increasing discomfort at the lack of social distancing we paid our bill within minutes of our table being cleared & left. Not before being forced to pass at least seven tables at close proximity & then squeeze past people queuing inside the door waiting to be seated. All in all not a good experience. They are clearly trying to adhere to the current government guidelines, but failing. Safe to say we won’t be going back anytime soon.More

My first and last visit to this restaurant. We had high hopes for my friend’s birthday lunch. The restaurant was very pleasant when we arrived. We ordered from the lunch specials menu and the starters were good, unfortunately it went down from there my friend’s...mussels pasta dish looked ok, she wasn’t raving about it. Mine was chicken and mushroom pasta, again it was ok but chicken was tough and mushrooms gritty, the pasta was cheap shop bought. Went on the have the pancakes for dessert, the shop bought pancakes were cold which made it unpleasant to eat. I mentioned it to the waitress, who couldn’t have cared less. Along with a couple of glasses of wine this was a very expensive lunch that wasn’t worth it. Very disappointing!More

Service was good - we had a very helpful waitress but did need to ask for things eg salt + pepper, Parmesan cheese etc. Menu covers most Italian traditional food and food was tasty and portions were good. Drink is a bit expensive but overall...a good experience.More

Always welcoming with a great range of Italian foods at a reasonable price. Been a regular since the kids were little, now grown up it's still a favourite with us all. Somehow they manage to mix families and kids with grown up dining. It's got...a lively atmosphere with something for everyone. If you don't fancy pasta or pizza I can recommend the fillet steak. Very generous in size, good quality and good value.More

Admitttedly, arrived after theatre some 25 minutes before close and was told to order immediately which was fair enough.albeit blunt. Ordered a glass of House White which had definitely gone off and really undrinkable. I accept that opened wine eventually deteriorates. Politely complained but was...told the wine was ok. I believed this was getting nowhere and put the wine aside. Shortly afterwards a new bottle was opened and I was given another which was fine. The food was poor to mediocre but edible. The bill arrived and I was told by the waiteress that the 12 and a half percent service charge was NOT discretionary,More

Had lunch here midway through a long walk, first visit and I was really impressed. It was a Sunday and the place was really busy (unlike the half-empty chain restaurants elsewhere on the High St) but we had a very warm welcome despite our muddy...boots (though we had done our best to clean them up before coming in). Food (pizza) was excellent and my friend had a nice glass of wine. Very modest bill. Will definitely return if I’m in godalming again.More

I don’t know how Piazza Firenze has such excellent ratings on Deliveroo. I had 2 pizzas delivered. Waiting time was very good. Arrived in 24mins. And that’s where the positives end. The pizza bases tasted like they were supermarket bought. They certainly did not taste...like they were made in a restaurant and I don’t believe they were. The toppings were decidedly average and tasted cheap - and neither pizza had been cut. I have a pizza wheel so I cut them but what if I didn’t have one? Two pizzas and a garlic bread cost £35. So not only was it poor pizza, it was hugely overpriced. Won’t be ordering again. My order was from Hampton not Teddington but the Hampton branch doesn’t come up on this siteMore

This is a lovely Italian restaurant with a varied menu of pizza, pasta , steak, chicken, liver, lamb and fish. It is quite large but when we went it was not full. Could this be because Trip Advisor says it's only open for takeaways? It...was certainly very busy with takeaways. We waited a little longer than we expected to eat but the meal was worth waiting for. I had liver in butter and sage and because I am not keen on mash I had some sauteed potatoes instead. My partner had lamb with amsh, green beans and a rosemary sauce. For dessert I had passion fruit cheesecake and my partner had sticky toffee pudding - very light as it was a large piece. They had 0% alcohol beer, not always available elsewhere and my pinot grigio blush was good. I would have given it 5 stars but it was a bit cold.More

We've been here a few times but the last time was a disaster. There was a large table of adults and another one with their children and the noise was unbearable. If we had been on our own we would have walked out like others...did. We wanted to catch up with friends but conversation was almost impossible. We hoped that they would go soon because of the children but they didn't. The other problem was despite only ordering a main course, it did not arrive for over 45 minutes and my friend's pizza had a burnt base. I was also disappointed with the cheesecake which was soggy with no body. When we came out all our ears were ringing. Won't go back.More

Faultless service and excellent food. Portions generous and good value. Dined here 29/4/23 on a busy Saturday but the efficiency of the hard working staff made sure every customer was taken care of.

Visited for the special lunch offer to find the restaurant nearly empty. It was getting a bit late but I was still surprised because this, to my mind, is the finest pizza/pasta restaurant I have visited in England. Great food and great value inviting repeat...visits. Give it a try, it would be sad to allow covid to drive this place out of existence. Never less than delighted with family meals we have had here.More

From memory I think starters are between £5-£12, mains £12-£25, deserts £4-7. The pizzas (which are lovely!) are £9-£15ish. Steak is £20 I think but sure the website will have up to date prices
