Like others I’m hearing a very noticeable rumble in the quiet parts, most noticeable between tracks or during the gentle intros. However once each track gets going this master sounds absolutely huge and triumphant and wonderful. I’m not disappointed. Got this on CD when I was 16 after a tutor played us Drift in college and the album changed my silly life. Very happy to have the opportunity to own it on vinyl at a price I can afford. This is an album I have listened to semi regularly for 20 years now and every time is magical.

I’m torn on this one. It has too much intrusive groove rumble in the quiet bits, but the excellent mastering makes this album sound huge, with one of the most immersive stereo listening experiences I’ve ever had.
I’m resigned to buying multiple copies, just like I had to do with the In Rainbows 45rpm double LP.

Records sound good. My copy has some surface noise though. Inner sleeves are really cheap. Outer one looks fragile.

This was the best record, of the Nineties, in my opinion. Totally unique, original and distinctive, unlike anything else, then or now. Like everyone one else in the 90s, I was blasting out Brit Pop and Grunge, I loved that stuff at the time, and still do, however these days I play Tilt, much more than any other record from the Nineties.
It's's timeless and universal, and proved that the old farts of the sixties, could still be innovative and relevant in the modern era, Scott actually did his fellow contemporary artists a favour with this avant-garde masterpiece. I wonder how many of them that he inspired, by not chasing the market, and just sticking to your guns, following your muse, and simply doing what you do best.
It's hard to believe that Tilt it was made, by a big star, of the Sixties. Scott was one of the very few from this era, that did not sell out looking for the big elusive hit in the 80s and 90s, he absolutely refused to play ball with the big record companies who would have required him, to drop his standards to throwaway chart levels. This is not just music, this is art at the very highest, level. All the Influences, of the huge amount of world cinema, that Scott consumed is interwoven, into the music.
Who are you? 21 21 21, I'll give you 21 21 21, I haven't a clue what he's singing about, but my goodness, it's infectious and singable, whilst at the same time adventurous, experimental, and aurally fascinating.

i own the original lp lim. edition numbered and now this new RSD release too . i honestly prefer the original but the rsd one sounds pretty good to me scott voice comes out a bit more on this repress while the instruments are a bit more quiet and less punchy than the original
kinda normal considering its digital . i wouldd reccomend to buy this if not owning the original so you save money and you have still a good sounding release

My copy came with flimsy battered inner sleeve. Records are covered in dirt and paper specks. The sound is nothing special: my copy has some constant whoosh-y surface noise acr9ss both records, the volume is low for 45 and dynamics are just okay. Wasn't it supposed to be a half-speed master ? It doesn't sound like one at all.
