Reviews
- Massive inner groove distortion on both sides unfortunately. For reference I have an Aphelion 3 which can read everything. It's in the vinyl. Considering picking up a different copy.
- The original may have been cut by George Piros, but this one has BG in the deadwax for Bernie Grundman. Probably from high quality digital files, but could be wrong about that. Either way, it sounds quite excellent! I have a nm original I could A/B. I have a feeling this one may actually be better.
- Edited 2 years agoThis is a welcome reissue of the Prine's 1976 'Best of' Collection. The sound quality is very good and the pressing is a good one too, from Optimal in this case, I believe. Side 2 on my sample was 'off centre' but it was very easily fixed. It arose due to a slight factory error when punching the hole, not unusual with Optimal vinyl at all. At least, it can be corrected seamlessly in every case I have come across.
