Lincoln is a predominantly black high school located in Brighton beach Brooklyn (coney island). Depending on the staff/administrator you receive quality resources/teaching. Lincoln is one of the only schools you can receive up to 27 college credits without AP testing. My personal experience was pretty fun, I was on a sports team, did debate, on the national honors society and acquired internships while attending. If you plan on attending the school, focus on the resources, not the people.
I enjoy my time in Abraham lincoln high school. The teachers are nice and some classes are challenging. I enjoy english and art because i love reading poems and stories and art help me improve my drawing and painting. I struggle with science but overall it an okay school.
Abraham Lincoln high school is a very fun diverse high school. Lots of activities and different things to look forward to. New people to meet and teachers. Not diverse in people but diverse with classes and learning abilities. Even a rare program amongst most high schools nowadays. Contains an animal program. That is also hands-on with various breeds of animals. Great science, technology, and great environment to learn .In the future, I hope Lincoln has a community to grow together, and for the people to get along better, and learn together. My sports experience has been great along with the vet science program. The sports and program make my day along with seeing good helpful teachers with good friends. Overall, Abraham Lincoln is a good high school to choose.
Coming back to school after the Covid-19 pandemic was not easy. For someone who was already so introverted, being in an environment with so much people was overwhelming. I thought high school was going to be scary, difficult, and exhausting. That wasn’t true. Ever since I arrived at Abraham Lincoln High School, I’ve been greeted with kindness and welcomed into the Lincoln community. I acknowledged immediately the many different program, classes and clubs this school has to offer. As a junior, I can say that this school provides every student the chance to reach their academic and personal potential. I could not imagine being at a different high school. The people and events in it make every moment there unforgettable. I’ve taken advantage of all the opportunities my school gives me, and I have assurance that this school will help me tremendously in preparing me for college!
Abraham Lincoln High isn't what most people would associate with greatness. On a national scale, it is placed 8,000+, not exactly impressive. It's no Brooklyn Tech, that's for sure. However, their are exceptions to this. I was lucky enough to have a few teachers that actually cared for me and understood my needs as a student. I had to suddenly move to New York after living practically my whole life in another state.
As a student at Abraham Lincoln high school, I will say I’ve had an amazing experience so far. Abraham Lincoln has many different activities such as clubs, sports and extra curricular. I’ve had the opportunity to participate in clubs, such as ELL leaders, Empowerment club and even sports like track. Compared to other schools in Brooklyn majority don’t have a pool but in Abraham Lincoln, I was able to learn how to swim which I never thought I would enjoy so much. Abraham Lincoln is a very diverse school because I feel like if I were to go to any other high school I wouldn’t have able to experience and learn about the different cultures in my school. For example, my friends now, I didn’t even know anything about their culture before I went to Abraham Lincoln high school. I was able to learn and understand about their many different traditions and foods. I am glad that i’ve had my four years of high school here, I was able to learn, grow, and make new friends that I’ve never expected.
My experience as a student at Abraham Lincoln High School was great. I made alot of friends and had wonderful teachers that helped me throughout my 4 years there.
I would like more events for the parents so they could be more involved. I also want Lincoln to mention ALL sports on the announcements and ADVERTISE MORE other than football and basketball.
I came to this school during my sophomore year and I felt welcome. I love the fact that the school is extremely diverse and even though is a big school, pretty much everyone knows everyone. I would change a bit the way seniors are directed. I think they can do way better.
Most of the teachers are really good. They encourage you to do better and actually learn, but the best part of Lincoln has to be the programs. This includes the vet science, law, and photography programs, all of which prepare students for future careers in those jobs.
The school has a very safe and inclusive environment. The students there are all full of life and are so fun to be around. All the teachers at Abraham Lincoln High School are so understanding and welcoming and are always there for you whenever you need a helping hand. The school also has a very diverse setting and is very welcoming to all students regarding gender, background, and sexuality.
The best part was that everyone was so nice and helpful the worst part was getting up early for class
This school has very mediocre academics and does not assist its students in any way shape or form. They do not assist with college applications, nor the SAT, and scholarships. The bathrooms are unsanitary and it feels like a prison.
My experience at lincoln was great, was very easy to make friends and all the teachers were always friendly and was trying to make sure we got our education so that we can succeed in the future.
this is an amazing school. they offer so many different majors and they have so many great programs. also the teachers are great and the academics are good.
My Experience here was very good, made long term friends, and was able to make connections with people in diverse positions through my teachers.
All 4 years i attended this High School was the absolute best. Every single individual I came across or had an encounter with helped mold me to the person I am today. I would change nothing about my time there. From my education to my athlete life, it was the best thing. To this day, those that attended are close. The school was and is a family. No matter what everyone was celebrated for every accomplish.
