The most wonderful place to visit. We have annual memberships so can go as often as we want to see as much each time as we want. The highpoints are the ships which are amazing experiences. The recent 4D 'cinema' in the Mary Rose makes a five star experience even better. Only the cafeteria lets it down with poor sandwiches. Once you have experienced all on site, you can take the free ferry over to the submarine museum and be taken on a cold war sub by a veteran. You can also get harbour boat tours. Currently you can experience the renovation of the Victory by going up the scaffolding - what a great idea.

Amazing, there was family trails, and crew members demonstrating how the guns worked and what ship life was like. There is a fun trail for children and lots of activities.

What a fascinating insight into our naval history and so interesting to see how sailors lived and worked.
To see how Admiral Lord Nelson lived and died.
This is well worth a visit but we bought a year’s pass for not a lot more money as there are so many places to visit in the Royal Navy Dockyard but we couldn’t manage it all in one day.

Visited here with friends. I had no prior knowledge about this fort and its history so I was surprised to discover just how interesting the site is including centuries of cannons and guns. A real surprise and worth visiting again for a longer time.

Six of us visited for the first time on Remembrance Sunday and we were on the deck of HMS Warrior at midday for the silence and the cannon salute, which was surprisingly moving. We all had our favourite parts of the Museum - my personal highlight was the actor playing a midshipman. His description of the ship and his duties - in the present tense - was absolutely convincing and he obviously knew the vessel and it systems very well indeed. The Mary Rose exhibition was also amazing. To be honest, it all was!

Popped in today with Uni student daughter. Enjoyed all the exhibits - particularly some of the art installations. In some parts it was a bit dark and needed a torch to read. Beautiful building and grounds. Will definitely visit again in warmer weather! Cafe was particularly welcoming and food was great!

Far more compact than we imagined, but still an attractive building, and significantly, an important part of King Henry'VIII series of coastal fortifcations. Being built in 1544, it was a statement of England's ( and Henry Tudors) determination to go his own way in many aspects, and consquently the South Coast was attacked just a year later, but repelled.
Short, squat and a deadly (for the time) gun platform, which controlled access to Portsmouth fledging naval port.
    Definately worth seeing.
