Mary-Louise Parker's bathtub scene on "Weeds"

Mary-Louise Parker, who plays the pot-dealing mom Nancy Botwin on Showtime's hit "Weeds," recently expressed bitterness for a recent nude scene of Nancy in the bathtub. Here's the story from People.

It's interesting to see two artists, the actor and the producer, disagree about the tastefulness of nude scenes. Parker deemed the nudity unnecessary, while co-executive producer Roberto Benabib thought it displayed vulnerability.

I don't have cable and I've missed the past season and a half of "Weeds," but I was a fan in a former life.  Without knowing exactly what's going on in the show, it' shard to weigh in on the appropriateness, but Nancy has been a bit lost since the beginning.  She never really seems to know what she's doing.  Vulnerable?  Sure.  Could that be displayed in a way without showing off her naked body? Probably.

She also talks about the pressure to look younger in Hollywood and how she's happy with how she looks at 44.  She says she's not trying to look 34. She looks phenomenal - I would be more likely to believe she was 34 than 44.

I only hope that I'll look that good at 44!

Any thoughts on "Weeds," the nude scene or Mary-Louise in general?
