Iowa State University Reviews

I really liked meeting the people at Iowa State, from students to professors, everyone had different stories and personalities. I joined a few clubs like the Vietnamese Student Association where I met students like me. I also joined the Badminton club where I could interact with people from on and off campus. It was memorable playing against professors and teaching assistants. My favorite type of people I met were the design students. They were totally different from when I was majoring in software engineering (no hate to them or anything). The creativity and happiness I felt when surrounding myself with them was spectacular. It was amazing seeing all the designs and art works produced by everyone. In all, Iowa State University has its strengths in the community and so far is enjoyable for me.
Iowa State has a very diverse campus and excellent academics. I am currently in aerospace engineering, and all my professors are great. The only thing I do not like very much is TopHat. If you have ever done Kahoot, it is roughly the same but graded. I do not always want to attend class and prefer studying at the library. I believe since we are adults and pay for our education we should have the option. The dining hall food is mostly good. The food places on campus are great, especially Plato's, which is like reverberation chipotle. There are places for people kinds of people. Party people and not party people. If you choose to party, there are many bars once you turn of age, and you can go to frat houses. However, if you choose not to, there are many places to hang out. I prefer to hang out in front of the library on sunny days or sit on benches on the lake to watch the geese and relax. Iowa State has a fantastic campus and great people and professors.
My overall experience at Iowa State has been good. The university offers a great education for a great price compared to other universities across the nation. I think it is one of the best cost-effective choices of higher education out there. I like that there are resources for every student to use at any time and almost everything is very well organized and in place. I also like that there is good and reliable public transportation, the campus is clean, there are activities happening all the time, and there is a lot of diversity in this town. One thing I would like to see change is to increase the amount of student advisers in the college of business. I say this because there have been times where I need to make a decision quickly and I need to consult with my adviser, and he is not available for the next two weeks.
