Biography

Simona Ventura was born in Bologna on 1st April 1965, and she has manifested immediately three great passions: fashion, sport and music.

Just 21 years old she wins Miss Muretto.

In 1987 she was elected Ideal Woman.

In 1988 she participated at Miss Universe representing Italy.

The stages of her television career are known to most people:

• In 1988 she made her debut together with Giancarlo Magalli in Domani Sposi on Rai Uno
• she participates in sport programs on TMC as a sport reporter
• she conducts La Domenica Sportiva on Rai Uno
• in 2001 she started conducting Quelli che il Calcio on Rai Due
• she conducts comics-satirical shows (Le Iene, Matricole, Mai dire Goal, Zelig Facciamo Cabaret)
• she conducts music shows (Festivalbar, Music Farm, Festival di Sanremo 2004, X Factor)
• she conducts reality show L’Isola dei Famosi) and she is also the author since the first edition of 2003

At present Simona has won 9 Telegatti and several Regia Televisiva Awards.

In 2008 Simona Ventura has been committed, as well as on the television side, also on the literary one with Crederci sempre arrendersi mai, her autobiography written for four hands with her friend Darwin Pastorin and on the film, starring together with Massimo Boldi, in La fidanzata di papà, directed by Enrico Oldoini.

During 2008/2009 TV season, Simona conducts the two most important show on Rai Due, L’Isola dei Famosi and Quelli che il Calcio and furthermore she is the judge of the second edition of X Factor, always on Rai Due.

During 2010 Simona keeps on conducting and being author of the successful programs Quelli che il calcio and L’Isola dei Famosi and in the same time she chooses to experiment with new ways of communication: the radio (Simona conducts every Saturday on Radio One Ventura Football Club) and the web, with her personal web channel (www. simonaventura.tv).

Always in 2010 Simona has starred in a cameo in the winner film of Venice Film Festival Somewhere by Sofia Coppola.

In 2011, for the consecutive eighth year, Simona conducts L’Isola dei Famosi realizing her big dream landing on the island as a castaway and spending a day together with the competitors in Honduras. Her conduction from Honduras has registered the record of seasonal audience.

In the same year, at the end of the television season and after 10 years of collaboration with RAI, Simona signs an exclusive contract with SKY satellite broadcaster, covering for two years the role of judge, anchorwoman and artistic manager of some projects as the talent show “X Factor”, and “Simona goes to Hollywood”, a program totally dedicated to the Academy Awards.

Also in 2012, for the second edition of X Factor on SKY, Simona is one of the judges together with Arisa, Marco Castoldi in art Morgan and Elio.

In October 2012 Simona conducts the program “CIELO CHE GOL” on Cielo Channel (SKY – DTTV). This program is a mix of sport information and entertainment and follows the whole football season of 2012/2013 of Serie A Championship.

Also in 2013 Simona is judge of the third edition of X Factor on SKY together with Mika, Marco Castoldi in art Morgan and Elio.

In 2014 Simona conducts the Final of 75th Edition of “MISS ITALIA” in Jesolo on La7 Channel.
In 2015 she is president of the jury of “NOTTI SUL GHIACCIO” a talent show of Saturday evening on RAI UNO conducted by Milly Carlucci.

In the same year she conducts the first edition of football talent show “LEYTON ORIENT” on Agon Channel and in Autumn Simona conducts for the second time the Final of “MISS ITALIA” always on La7 Channel and the reality show “IL CONTADINO CERCA MOGLIE” on Fox Life Channel.

In 2016 Simona is the first anchorwoman in the world to participate as competitor in the reality show “L’ISOLA DEI FAMOSI”; this talent show was conducted by her for 8 years on RAI DUE.

In Autumn of the same year Simona conducts in prime time on Canale 5 the first edition of a new factual “SELFIE – LE COSE CAMBIANO” produced by Fascino P.g.t.
