Every time I watch this doc I’m pissed dumbass Michael Rappaport spent most of it on stupid drama and sooo little on actually talking about the music, the production techniques, the samples, etc etc etc
He is such a cornball lol. Anytime I hear him speak on hip hop I cringe
I wanted to like this doc so much more than I did. I remember leaving the theater confused. I went hoping to watch something exciting / fun and instead just saw some dudes bickering 👎🏻
It’s only more infuriating with time when you realize this can never be done again. He had such unprecedented access to a living legend of a group and chose to be TMZ. And once you see how loud and wrong he is willing to be about shit like Palestine, it’s also a big head scratcher for me as to how HE of all people got them all to agree to doing the doc. I have to assume there have been other capable and interested parties over the years.
Yeah, it’s a damn shame he fucked up a great opportunity.
