There are three ways you can connect your Command panel to your Wi-Fi network: through the Control app, the Control web portal, and directly from your Command panel. All three options allow you to scan for a network, and to manually connect to a network if the scan option doesn't work. You will need to know your Wi-Fi network name and password.

Control App
- Tap the Menu icon, then tap Manage Devices.
- Tap the three-dot icon next to Panel, then tap Device Settings.
- Tap Panel Wi-Fi.
- Tap Scan for Network.
- From the list of available networks, click on the circle for the one desired.
- The app will display the password field. Enter the network password, then tap Connect.
- The Wi-Fi network credentials will be sent to the panel for updating. This may take a few minutes. The panel will display a message "System Programming Please Standby." When the connection is complete, the app will display the main screen and the Wi-Fi icon will show connected.
- Return to the Main Menu, then select Manage Devices > Panel > Device Settings > Panel Wi-Fi. The system will now show as connected.
Control Portal
- Go to https://www.adt.com/control-login.
- On the left menu, click Settings.
- On the Settings menu, click Control Panel Settings.
- Click on Scan for Networks. The system will now search for available Wi-Fi networks.
- From the list of available networks, click on the circle for the one desired.
- The Password field will display. Enter the network password, then click Connect.
- The Wi-Fi network credentials will be sent to the panel for updating. This may take a few minutes. Click the "X" to close the message box.
- If the desired network does not appear in the list of available networks, click Don't see your network? Click here to add it manually, or select Set up Manually from the Settings screen.
- On the Settings screen, enter:
- Network Name / SSID
- Security: select WPA2
- Network password
- Click OK.
- The Wi-Fi network credentials will be sent to the panel for updating. This may take a few minutes. Click the "X" to close the message box.

How to scan for a Wi-Fi network
- On your Command panel home screen, select the arrow on the right.
- Select Tools.
- Enter your User Code.
- Select Wi-Fi Settings.
- Select Scan for Network.
- Select the network you want to connect to and then input the password on the Wi-Fi Configuration screen.
- After typing in the password in the keypad, press Save.
- Select OK.
- On the network list, check that the network you just connected to has a check mark to verify that it is connected.
- Press the back arrow on the right hand side to return to the home screen.
- In the home screen, view your Wi-Fi connection signal strength in the top-left corner.
How to manually connect to a network
- On your Command panel home screen, select the arrow on the right.
- Select Tools.
- Enter your User Code.
- Select Wi-Fi Settings.
- Select Manually Connect to Network.
- In the Wi-Fi Configuration Screen, select SSID Name and then type in your network’s name and then Save.
- Select Security and then choose the same security protocol as your router – options include Open, WEP, WPA Personal, WPAWPA2, and WPA2 Personal and WPA Enterprise.
- If a password is required, select Password and then type in your network password and then press Save.
- Select OK.
- Press the back arrow on the righthand side to return to the home screen.
How to join a WPS network
- On your Command panel home screen, select the arrow on the right.
- Select Tools.
- Enter your User Code.
- Select Wi-Fi Settings.
- Select WPS.
- Press the WPS button on your access point device or router.
- If the connection is successful, your panel will display a message that says “Device has been successfully added to the network.”
- Select OK.
- Press the back arrow on the right-hand side to return to the home screen.
