- MissHK2009Hong Kong, China5,627 contributionsI have been to the Concentration Camp in Poland. Although this one is much smaller in scale, it worths a visit, especially I followed a one-day group tour from Sophia to visit this place, as well as other tourist spots.Written March 1, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MissHK2009Hong Kong, China5,627 contributionsI followed a one-day tour from Sophia and visited this fortress on my own during the free time. It's next to a large park and the environment is very cozy. It's at the city centre next to the bridge.Written March 1, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- MissHK2009Hong Kong, China5,627 contributionsIt's one of the stops in my day tour to Nis Serbia from Sophia Bulgaria. 5-10 mins' visit here will be enough because the tower room is rather small. But one must have learned the history/ story behind the establishment of such tower before the visit, which our tour guide kindly did.Written March 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NikosVisitSerres, Greece431 contributionsPerhaps the only thing in the area that caught our attention with the few good shops in the surrounding area, is a purely Balkan town (without misunderstanding this), more of a stop for rest on the trip.Written April 23, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - cookpiasLos Angeles, CA1,672 contributionsPleasant to stroll along at all times of day, but especially at sunset. The fortress walls across the river and the young people hanging out create a nice atmosphere.Written October 12, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - puschkeNis, Serbia83 contributionsVery nice place just outside of Nis. Very calm with very good vine and food. We visited with little kids and there is very specious garden which they loved. - Terry AnzurJupiter, FL1,810 contributionsWe got here on the #2 bus from the crntral square in Niš. A friendly passenger from the bus told us to get off at the end of the line and walk up a hill to reach the entrance. The wooded path to the memorial is dedicated to the partsan fighters of World War II. We were practically alone with the three towering sculptures on a Winter Monday afternoon. Under gloomy skies we contemplated the unknown number of men, women and children executed by the Nazis here.Written February 28, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AlbertSalichsManresa, Spain20,473 contributionsMonument to Liberators of Nis is located in a great square, the King Milan Square (or Kralja Milana Trg, in Serbian) and it commemorate the liberation of Serbia of Ottoman rulers and in 1st Worls War. It represents a horse rider with a flag, which symbolise the freedom of the country. It is very nice and emotive and you can see it from the square or, in our case, from Ambasador Hotel located in the square.

Take your time and enjoy the wonders made my ancestors that were excavated centuries after they died.Written September 4, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - IgorMarkovicSmederevo, Serbia1,799 contributionsThe Bigar Waterfall (srb. Vodopad Bigar) is considered to be one of the hidden gems of Eastern Serbia. It is situated right along the regional road between Pirot and Knjaževac, thus it is quite easy to find it and visit it. The waterfall is simply mesmerizing and unique in its beauty. Only until recent years has it been discovered by tourists and regularly visited, but, the important fact is that it hasn't been polluted or ruined. That is why you should definitely visit the Bigar Waterfall and enjoy it and the rest of the magnificent Stara planina mountain range!Written September 14, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
